Oh, you mean you just can't run too far away? Hey, you know what I like to do there? Put in the eggs, then jump off the ledge so Banjo's in the sinking water. Well, I suppose it'd be better if I could jump all the way to the sand castle, but I still think it's funny.

No actually, I think the funniest thing is that for so long I had no idea what to do in the sand castle, partly because I couldn't find the bucket, and also because even if I had found it on my own, I wouldn't have guessed I'd need the backwards egg move because I had never tried it and had already forgotten about it. But who wants to use a move that makes a poopy noise anyway?

yeah, that suprised me a little. It's the reason I'll never play Wario in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

I couldn't spot much wrong with that. Now onto CC, this is the level I'd hate to do becuase I don't like the smimming physics in this game.

swimming in this game is very counterintuitive. I hate how the controls are reversed when you face the screen. Good luck, and great run so far Sami.

I never managed to find 3 of the notes in Clinker's Cavern. It annoyed me so much when I tried a speedrun of this game.

Isn't clinker's cavern the FPS section of Banjo-Tooie where you have to kill dirt in the sewers? :P

I think they name them that on purpose to confuse people like me.

I remember I was always afraid of going down to turn the key in Clanker's Cavern. Always did it in 3 separate drives, one for each turn of the key :D

I used to do it and have just the tiniest bit of air left, and then drowning while trying to get back to the surface.

A couple of new tricks with swimming: 1)On the surface, you can hit A and Z 1 frame later to collect an item a short distance underwater without any diving/beak busting animation. 2)Swimming into a steep underwater slope at the right angles gives Banjo a boost along the slope EDIT: Some stuff in Clanker's Cavern: 1)There are glitchable slopes in Clanker's mouth, In addition to talon trot diving on them, if you talon trot off one at an obtuse angle it will mess up Banjo's sprite for a few seconds by rotating it sideways. 2)There is a glitchable slope by the purple jinjo (use talon trot diving). 3)In the grinder near where you learn Wonderwing, it is easily possible just to talon trot to the jiggy and back. 4)At the start of the course, you can get on top of the pipe you started in in several ways.

Haha, my own route (Line 134) cuts over 2:30 off marsh's, and I only skip the honeycombs (and walk right past both of them anyway). You're not the only one who knows this level. :P Meh, I watched your TTC test run, and had some notes on that, but I noticed you uploaded a new wip, so I will watch that before giving my notes, so I can see first what you changed. I have not had much chance lately for speed running, on account of I am sick and busy with a site, but I should be able to watch this soon. Though I should note, inside Nipper's shell in the test run -- awesome. Seriously, you just trot in there all casual-like, pummel one crab and swipe the other, grab the Jiggy and walk out of there while they're still writhing around on their backs. Total badass. :D

not sure if I mentioned it, but I did make a v2 avi of ttc in the usual place. (tas.monotoli.org) the sound glitches badly at the start of the level screwing the sync. I was too lazy to fix it. and it's not unbearable.

I should have mentioned this earlier, but on the ladders in TTC with notes along the edges, if you jump at the edge of the stairs by the notes in talon trot, you'll slide all the way up and collect the notes, because the tiny platforms on the staircase give you a boost by ejecting you upwards. I think this would save around 1.5 seconds over the three ladders.
