I have had these movies postponed for quite a long time, but I can't decide which to publish on the web page, if any. Opinions please. Double Dragon by Mike Larson - first attempt Double Dragon by Phil Côté - first attempt Double Dragon by Mike Larson - 1.5 minutes faster Double Dragon 2 by Mike Larson Double Dragon 3 by Mike Larson All of them are for USA versions.

Lezard's 2-person-simultaneous movie for Double Dragon II looked quite good; perhaps the others should try it.

I just watched the videos and i don't find them boring at all, i enjoyed watching all 3 of them, i learned quite a bit. I know you guys can do better but maybe you should publish them until someone beats his time.

the 2 player double dragon 2 movie should DEFINITELY be on the site, along with the fastest runs for double dragon 1-3.

My Double Dragon simultaneous movie was made with a different emulator, that's why Bisqwit can't publish it on his site.

I wonder, because VirtuaNES can convert to AVI, if he won't use his tracker to host the Torrent for an AVI of it anyway? (or someone else could host it, or you could use a public tracker) For the benefit of those too lazy to download the emulator, find the ROM, and watch the movie? It's an amazing movie.
someone is out there who will like you. take off your mask so they can find you faster. I support the new Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun.

Things i didn't like of Double Dragon 2 by Mike Larson: -Receives unnecessary hits -Executes unnecessary actions -Too monotone (which makes it boring) It's just my opinion.

Let's see. I have started the recording of avi of all of those previous movies one or two times, but I've always got bored just watching it being recorded... and thus cancelled the attempt to create the avi.

I think the fundamental problem with "beat 'em ups" is that they are extremely repetitive and thusly not very entertaining as a video. I'm reminded of that Renegade video that was rejected...it might still be in the Workbench board somewhere. Lezard's "2P by 1P" Double Dragon II video was a little more refreshing, but even still it can be slow at times. I give him a lot of credit for bending over backwards to try something new as well as stage fights in an entertaining way. It doesn't help that DD2 was one of the easiest games in the world. The super knee attack was just way too powerful. We all loved playing these games, but that doesn't necessarily make them fun to watch.

Not necessary, if you always do the same thing all the time, no matter what game it is, it'll look boring. In the "Beat 'em ups" genre you must try to do all kind of things and kill the guys in everyway possible to make it look interesting, i'm sure that with a little creativity and imagination, almost any game can look cool. If you want to finish Double Dragon 2 as fast as possible, the first thing that comes to our mind is: "the flying knee", but, doesn't it look too repetitive? yes, it does, so...one must not think of trying these type of games as fast as possible, but make them look interesting.

feitclub: I think the fundamental problem with "beat 'em ups" is that they are extremely repetitive lol Megaman is repetitive, Castlevania is repetitive , Super MArio Bros is repetitive etc... No that's a very bad reason. It's cause you're not really a fan of Beat 'em Up like me 'cause I like watching that kind of game . I just watched Mike Larson and Lezard movie and they're pretty cool even if it's not perfect. That kind of game is for "artistical timeattack" like Bisqwit said for that pretty long and boring SMB3 movie but maybe you love to watch that pretty long movie. It takes all sorts to make a world.

Hehehe, i enjoyed watching that whole mario 3 1:17 minute movie. Guess im a bit weird eh. Phil is very right though, all games are repetitive in a sense, which is why we change how we do things to make it more interesting. Mike Larson pretty much kept the same combo for each enemy, maybe it would be more interesting if he used a variation of kicks/punches/jump attacks etc instead of using just one move or combo. If they were put on this site, i would definatly get them, cause i enjoyed watching them regardless of how they are played.
