Try switching to a better graphics plugin than Glide64, like Jabo's D3D8 or glN64.

Just finished watching it, it seemed pretty optimized for a test run, but one general note, maybe you could collect the jiggy and jump into the water when you collect the last jingo. What is the WR for TTC anyway?

Why I should do that :o If I go water with Jiggy, I have to watch dancing animation when I go ground. What is WR :D

I agree it was a very optimal test run, there only very few instances where corners weren't exactly rounded perfectly (especially when going to get a puzzle piece when flying, by a cliff concave, you are brushed against a wall for 2-3 seconds, I know you can't turn but that was quite noticable) overall really good

Did you know you can hold R to turn faster while flying? Also, did it save time to punch those crabs inside the shell before getting the jiggy? WR = world record console time. The fastest 100% record I can find for that level is 9'36'' (here).

Oh I don't push R turn faster :E thanks to telling me that :) I hit those crabs because they damage Banjo and its slower as hitting them. But its only a test, real one looks better and I try find some timesavers :)

They can't hurt you after you've grabbed the Jiggy, can they?

Yeah, I assume the animation of grabbing the jiggy would render you invulnerable like most similar animations, especially since grabbing a jiggy cancels *most* (haha glitch) of your actions

Right, I'm just saying it looks as though you could dodge around the crabs before and after grabbing it.

Yes, I'm in total agreement since this is test run, and more time savers will be searched for this should be one of them that's tried

Yes, they can. You are vulnerable between grabbing the jiggy and hitting the ground.

Oh, so... While Banjo's holding the Jiggy, he gets knocked over, gets back up, and THEN does the dance?

So hit the ground and get the jiggy before they come a' snappin'. unless this is impossible... should at least be attempted.

Shooting eggs at the crabs would probably have been faster than rolling and swiping

Well I never played much of this game (only the first world), but this run is looking great so far. Keep up the good work.

And when dancing is over and crab is really close Banjo, you get a hit. So it's best hit those crabs.

hey nitsuja, i am having a terrible lag whenever a spinning item appears (i.e. the jiggies, the coconut, the gold, etc). do you have any idea of why is this? it runs perfectly fine when they don't appear. nice run sami, it looks publishable for me but if you want to improve it i'm not gonna stop you :P

Wow, this looks really fast-paced. I remember that this level was a really laggy one, especially when climbing to the top, but you just destroyed this level. Keep it up!

Crap. I missed two pages. :( Anyway, I read a couple of posts. I guess I will still make more maps of levels, but I doubt any will be better than Spiral Mountain...

do you have a link to the pj64 plugin used?
There are two linked at the top of this tutorial: http://www.emutalk.net/n64-maps-ut2004-perfect-dark-mod/25503-tutorial-vrml-textures-dumping-importing-unrealed-ut2k3-4-a.html Only one works on pj64. I actually ended up using the one for 1964 after all... (this tutorial was, overall, much more helpful to me than the other post I linked, heh). But yeah, I tested both and the one for 1964 was better. Now to read the rest of what I missed.

Would getting hit by a crab when doing the jiggy dance interrupt it? This way you wouldn't have to wait when you get the jiggy before you move again.
