Breath of Fire II is a role-playing game an the second game in the Breath of Fire series. It is infamous for its botched English localization, which not only had inconsistent names for the characters but also misleading gameplay dialogue and prompts. The main character is Ryu Bateson, a ranger who grew up as an orphan after his father and sister suddenly disappeared and everyone forgot who he was. His best friend, Bow, has been accused of stealing from the richest man in town and is forced to go into hiding. Ryu decides to go off on a journey to clear his name, a journey where he will meet new companions, discover dragons, fight demons, and thwart a plot that threatens the world and possibly the universe.
For this run, Xujhan decides to forgo the use of glitches in favor of simply manipulating the RNG, allowing them to avoid as many enemy encounters as possible and beat bosses at unusually low levels in order to beat the game as fast as possible under these conditions.
