broken on vlc (nightly build) and quicktime (with perian) - both on os x - too. vlc just dies, quicktime gives me normal video, speedy sounds and then lags and dies. edit: and yes - the above fix does the trick here too

Just thought i should mention that _very_ few movies (read 1 of 10-20) actually plays in either 1.43 final or the 1.43 wip (both found at that geocities page). Unfortunately im not experienced enough to patch the OS X source code with all changes that has been made - so i can't chip in on debugging / making it work. But now you know :)

Just wanted to say congratulations on a job (very) well done! Have watched all of your WIP's and there are so many impressive stunts in there so i dont even get amazed after watching for a while.. Will be fun to watch the entire movie in all its glory!

Regarding Swedish and English versions: A swedish one would be cool and all, but for comparison and future improvements i personally think an English version would be most suiting.. but if this all comes down to speed i guess the version with less text would be preferable. Almost all RPGs are runned in the version with least characters (as in text characters :)

Nice work! Wonder how much the new dark world route will knock down that end time. I dont see any particular reason on re-doing this run except that (dark world route) and minor mistakes here and there. Btw, looking forward to twilight princess :)

ill back up "linux support", as this (open source) generally creates a good development discussion that in the end results in a better product. (and lets us mac users have a bite of the snack :)

Cheers, im trying to compile this mother on OS X 10.3.7.. To be short i followed Bisqwit's instruction on compiling it for linux/unix, that is dl:ing the blip source, dos2unix it, apply bisqwits patch, running configure and automake then make:ing it. All goes well until i bump into sdl-sound.c, here's the dump:
drivers/pc/sdl-sound.c:342: error: conflicting types for `KillSound'
drivers/pc/dface.h:20: error: previous declaration of `KillSound'
drivers/pc/sdl-sound.c: In function `KillSound':
drivers/pc/sdl-sound.c:348: warning: passing arg 1 of `free' discards qualifiers from pointer target type
make[1]: *** [drivers/pc/sdl-sound.o] Error 1
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
I have SDL 1.2.8 installed, running on GCC 3.3 in a bash 2.05b environment.. any help on this would be appreciated

i'd say that the zip contains errors
unzip ToP.zip
Archive: ToP.zip
warning [ToP.zip]: 1 extra byte at beginning or within zipfile
  (attempting to process anyway)
file #1: bad zipfile offset (local header sig): 1
  (attempting to re-compensate)
  inflating: ToP_part1.smv
error: invalid compressed data to inflate
file #2: bad zipfile offset (local header sig): 58175
  (attempting to re-compensate)
  inflating: ToP_part2.smv
  inflating: ToP_part3.smv
  inflating: comments.txt
(edit) upon further investigation my guess is that this wont pass, your comments states that you've played using a dejap version (The rom is called "Tales of Phantasia (J) [T+Eng1.2LowCase_DeJap].smc") , which described in the rules are not accepted.

bob: my "whats up with this" was more a comment to that they sued in the first place. i know they took it back but both actions are imo not normal behaviour regarding those circumstances
