I find it quite amazing how different this tas is compared with the speedrun kareshi did. 'Cause via frame advance and rerecordings, you didnt use even once that special power. Beautiful run, voted yes!
I use the knife for my speedrun, it has the dragon magic power. The bracelet doesn't have a magic attack.

ehh I'm really disappointed at the lack of second "round"... given that 1. the enemies behave differently and move faster, which would result in different TA-running strategy than Round 1, and 2. the real ending is at the conclusion of the second round, so I've always considered the second round to be the second half of the game, not a bonus round a la SMB1, LoZ, etc So as good a first round TAS as this is, it should NOT be considered in obsoleting the previous two-round TAS, but as either a second category or an incomplete TAS.

Wonderful! I do appreciate how difficult this was to TAS in an intimate way, and I think you did a great job. I like finally seeing things done in a Jaws TAS that can't be done in live play (like your Bonus Scene.) I'm wondering if you were forced to put the minisub in the top right, was there no way to get it on the bottom right or bottom left spots?

I'd just like to say that it wasn't EASILY beaten on a console. It was, in fact, very, very difficult to do so, and it took weeks of research and practice.

I recently got 4:04 on a console, that's 15 seconds faster than this TAS. I'm positive I could have gotten at least 3:59 with a better Jaws fight. As it turns out, my live speedrun follows the outline of the TAS, and just plays it better. 1st Encounter 2nd Encounter Bonus Scene Avoid the 3rd Encounter by tricky boat manuvering Get the Receiver Get the minisub Power up to 2 Power up to 3 Fight Jaws Stab Jaws Once I get 3:59 or under I'll post some videos. If anybody is SERIOUS about making a new Jaws TAS, then hit me up on AIM at Mozart2507

you can tell them any relevant info on the techniques you need to ask. I'm not trying to keep it secret anymore, rj pretty much knows it all by now (I've been talking to him)

I've since beaten this time by 5 seconds. I'm holding off on talking strategy until I think I've done the best I can.

mills is talking about me. as of an hour ago I beat this time by one second, on a console. but later today or tomorrow I plan on beating it by at least 2 seconds just to be on the safe side. ziplock - if you want some ideas on how to improve the TAS, let me know
