I'll be honest, the only game that came to mind was Tetris.

I feel like including one of the SNES Mega Man X games would be a good choice, as there's a good number of constant frame tricks, and they don't go overboard with out of bounds clipping or other early stage ending tricks. X1 has some nice stuff with the spike wall ascent and the boomerang tricks for grabbing off screen items and moving platforms, for example, but there's something from all 3 that's enough to show "this is a TAS".

At 57:43 in your overlay encode, you forgot to add the Power Punch to your gear list.

Quick reminder that if you aren't watching Teekyuu every season then you're doing something wrong. Also, the Working!!! finale was one of the more satisfying endings to a show in recent times.

If you're taking screenshot suggestions, I like the shot at around 31:32, where the key is grabbed mid transformation and the palette is fancy.

Something a bit different than usual. Here we see a certain Ordinary Human Magician using TAS skills in her usual life. Link to video This video was released only a few days ago, but it's the fifth of a series. I've linked to the playlist below. http://www.nicovideo.jp/mylist/51059535

I think I have the answer to your question. I've never seen any mentions of TAGVideos or TAGs anywhere related to TASing.

Being different emulators shouldn't change the category anyway. It's not like we have all the various SNES emulators in separate categories. That said, I think combining them to PC is the best option. If you prefer, it could be listed as "DOS/Windows", similar to how "Game Boy/SGB/GBC" and "Sega Genesis/Mega Drive/CD/32x" are listed.

I had no idea this had an MSX version. Any reason why you'd choose this over the presumably more feature rich NES version?

If you don't want fighters, your options are basically competitive puzzle games, racing, and FPS.

Thank you for starting and completing one of my more anticipated games for a TAS. A pity about the mandatory wait for nightfall, but nonetheless a wellplayed run all the way through. Yes vote from me.

I think you could use it in a ton of places if you clone a star and bring it to another one for a bunch of double star collections.

This seems like something that should be possible to set up with file associations. Have you tried double clicking the rom files and just setting BizHawk as the default application? edit: that's what I get for taking so long to post

If you really want stereo, maybe it's possible to cycle the RNG value until it's equal to where it would be for the current run in mono. Unless the sheer act of being in stereo makes some RNG cycles trigger twice.

Do you guys think we could even have snippets of an interview or "taser at work" real life footage? I'm thinking of the "evolution" section. Without any music, but still with relatively snappy editing. Also the "how tasing works" section might look nice with something like that.
I know some people have done some live streams when TASing. I think a good idea would be to use a timelapse of one of these in the background with some descriptive text when it would be relevant. The way it would show a bunch of failures but gradually advancing is a good visual.

Despite being over 6 years old now, I still think Mega Man X2 is the best TAS on the site. It doesn't use any huge glitches but still displays a large amount of impressive variety. Something from the 22:10-22:30 mark would be my suggestion. You're also pretty much required to include Maxim of Dissonance.

Yeah he had a few in one player mode before, but something must have changed his mind as all his newer videos are 4P. Based on the info in their playlist, they're getting their route from the old SDA run from 2008, plus this NG+ any% run (6h56) from March: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_5OwxjsueY
