Thanks for publishing the video. :>
Just noticed that the description in the official entry calls the main antagonist “Dr. Warmon”. In Japanese, he is known as “Warumon Hakase.” Warui mono in Japanese means “bad person” depending on context, and Hakase in Japanese is more commonly referred to as “Professor”. Thus, I translated it as “Professor Badman” instead, since I am sure they were doing a play on words for the name “Warumon”. Anyway, the subtitles are not official from the EU release, just something I translated my own way that I felt captured the tone and feeling of the original Japanese version. Just wanted to clarify that.

Thanks Nicos!! I tried my best to optimize movement while minimizing lag, but you're right. There is barely any lag in this game... Yet it moves so fast! So glad you enjoyed it!

Subtitles were for all written dialogue, 100% announcement screen, credits, and ending. You can see the subtitles after every boss fight for character dialogue, and after the last boss you will see the majority of the written content in the game, which has all been translated for your viewing pleasure. :) There is almost no text anywhere else. I was just worried the ending was too long for people who can’t understand Japanese, and the credits had a lot of fun nick-names that would be lost to those who can’t understand Japanese. I made them look really natural for Super Nintendo, and there is a chance you’d easily miss them until the end as the word bubbles move REALLY fast.
Subtitles were not added for the screens after each stage has been completed as it just shows your stage completion time. I felt it was self explanatory and it served no relevant purpose to comprehension. Each stage has a target time (top line), and nothing other than the player’s actual stage time is displayed on this screen. It does not confirm item collection, goals, or doors. That can be verified by the white, yellow, or pink dots on stages on the world map (white means a fairy is missing, yellow means a goal is missing, pink means new stage. I do not know of a way to confirm door visits via the world map), or via the results screen at the end of the run. This results screen goes over all factors that contribute to 100% completion. Sorry, I thought this would be obvious for anyone who watched the video... I should have been clearer in my submission notes.
Yes, scroll to the section of the video after the credits finish rolling, and there is an item collection results announcement screen. This has been translated and subtitled, as it is all in Japanese. It does show “100%”, so it should be easily confirmable even without subtitles. The subtitles were added simply for viewing enjoyment.
Thanks for your help,
JonIIDX
Edit: The result screen starts at 45:35, and ends at 46:15. If you scroll to 46:05 you will see the full screen easily. Thanks for judging my work!

Thanks so much, Invariel!! Was awesome having your company.
In other news, I just translated the game script and applied the subtitles (including the credits). The new file is currently encoding, and I will have a new youtube clip up within 2 hours. :DDD
Here is the link to the English subtitled version:

I am going to fix the time on the intro screen and add subtitles to the game feed for the YouTube clip. I hope I can finish that by this evening. I will edit the entry links once I get it re-uploaded to YouTube.

To be honest, I was going to translate it and add subtitles to this video, but I thought that may be frowned upon for a submission. Honestly, I don't think the script is all that engaging, and it definitely doesn't explain the game mechanics. While you are correct, I don't particularly care for how the European version changed the name, I don't really think viewers are really missing out on much of anything by not understanding the story. I guess the end is a little long without being able to read any of the text, though. I think people will look into a translated rom on their own accord if they are interested enough. The TAS should still work with the English Translation, unless it screws up lag frames for some reason and causes a desync... Probably would happen, actually. :<
Thanks for the input! I am happy to make an edit to the submission if a consensus is met. :DDD

Oops, I typoed the overall time somehow... Sorry about that.
The time should be:
39:21.983
:<
Edit: No wait, that was an automatically generated time... Maybe I calculated it wrong...? Regardless, sorry about that.
