I'm glad to see this was finally done (even if far, far after my last disappearance.) :)

Yeah, basically since there's just that one fix, the next "update" will be in the Workshop. Plenty of distractions at home... Woah... has it already been three weeks since I made that post? O.o Where's all that time going (other than to pokemon?)

That we're a bunch of lazy bums who didn't complete his list? <.< >.> Well, I sort of maybe kind of somewhat did my part... by secretly making a simple attempt at an NES Beetlejuice run which I never posted about here and never completed... ^.^;; I think I didn't post about it...

I definitely enjoy seeing an improvement and this run was enjoyable, but I must admit that I enjoyed TheAxeman's run more. I know his death-teasing was a major part of that. (Good example ; that "sinking room" near the beginning.) I don't think that's necessarily a show-stopper, especially since it's been a year since I voted on one of these things. ^.^;;

Hard to do this from work (since most of my computers are at home) but I did find an old screenshot compilation that's a good start. These are the wallpapers from (top to bottom): 2400 (My computer that stopped booting because of corrupted hard drive boot files, just before finishing my MMZ run a year ago. It came back up, then went down again when a powerful storm rolled through and fried a good number of machines in our house through their CAT5 connections.) (Currently looks like it's finally booting okay, just need to investigate that weird sound it's making.) 1200 (Currently dead, most likely due to a bad power supply. Will fix eventually.) 600 (Hard disk recently became unbootable ; this machine doesn't really exist anymore.) In the process of trying to bring 2400 back, ended up, instead, making a new computer. This is its desktop: http://img484.imageshack.us/img484/374/screenshotfd7.png For my Mac laptop, there are two desktops... This is the one always shown on the laptop itself. This is the one on my monitor here at work.

Very interesting. I would have guessed a lesser value based upon its size compared to my anime collection, but I guess that completely ignores the higher concentration of value there? But... what torture. What unbelievable torture. I think I'd rather get over my fear of needles than give up my anime collection.

Long time no chat, guys, heh. I guess I have a bad habit of pausing in the middle of a project for... almost a year. Ouch. However, since I'm planning on bringing that machine back up tonight~ish, I intend to start working on this again. Thought y'all might like to know. :) I remember exactly what needs to be fixed ; shots OVER the arms... it can be done! It must be done!

Lots of people came here because of Morimoto's SMB3. That's sort of why I did, but for slightly different reasons... The SMB3 video was linked to from the Bob and George forums. Somebody mentioned a quick play-through of Mega Man 2. I found a bunch of sites. I began identifying prominent forums. I started hanging out here when the re-recording Genesis emulator was being worked on.

Cool, thanks guys. But with frame advance can i go back if i did a mistake..like 3 seconds ago or such? Thanks
More explicitly, you can go back as far in the past as you want, as long as you prepare your savestates. 3 seconds? Not a problem. 30 seconds? No trouble. 3 minutes? Still cruising. The previous frame? Simple enough to do. The very beginning? Sure thing. Usually, you just need to guess in advanced when you want these save states, but in case of emergency you can always stop recording, play it back, pause (+ Frame Advance) where you want to fix the mistake, and create a new save state.

Or you can get Smash by eating Master Hand in the Mini Boss fight. Either way it looks useful. Can be used to slay multiple foes at once. I'm going to try this game later since I downloaded the Speed Run from SDA just now. :3
I think the only way that my speed run would contribute to the TAS is in the proof-of-concept of Smash pwnage. Otherwise... ... Otherwise I am seriously starting to doubt the efficiency of missile and whether or not it's really a good idea to get that going to the Area 2 boss. I tried downloading the movie posted in the first post of this thread with the hope of some time trying to compare it with a TAS I started a couple of months ago. On that note, does anybody have a working version of that movie I can compare against?

I think Robin Hood might be interesting. I started a run for it but got past the obvious part. Only trick I can think of that I was experimenting with was fighting the boar boss over and over again, getting lots of experience that way...

Congratulations! You did it! :) (I don't think it's obvious from his submission, but Inzult has been in contact with me for this entire run and he has my blessings.)

I can't see lightning trick here at work, but the other videos were interesting. :) I'm definitely interested in playing around with the game, now. I'd be interested in making a newer version of the Forte run. The trick now is that I have to bring one of my computers back up. Hmmm...

GG2 Yoshi Legendary ??? Beast? 3/3 T: Remove target permanent from the game, Yoshi doesn't untap as normal during your next untap phase.
I would do it this way: GG2 Yoshi Legendary Dinosaur 3/3 When Yoshi blocks or is blocked, you may choose 1 creature blocking or blocked by Yoshi. If that creature has toughness less than Yoshi's power, remove that creature from the game. This is mostly because: -Yoshi's tongue is a close-range attack. -Yoshi isn't able to eat everything so there must be some way to limit what he can "eat." Somebody want to take a shot at Mega Man? (I would but I've already wasted enough work time by finishing up this post...)

If I recall, it didn't force Forte into the wall, but rather it pushed the ice away from him. When I watched these videos earlier, I had thought that maybe veritcal pushing was causing it, but looking closer it could just be that the slide doesn't have good wall collision code.

I'd like to redo my Forte run, but I'd also like to figure out how to get in the walls. Of course, first I've got to get my computers up and working again in the first place. Those are awesome tricks. :) Too bad Forte can't do things exactly like that...

I enjoyed both images. (I never saw the old Megaman one.) I'd say the Megaman one has got to be great if I think it's better than the Zelda one (especially since, you know, I get emotionally attached to my runs and stuff.) If/when you make more know that I'll be yet another person looking forward to seeing it. :)

I've been swearing since last night. The computer I was going to use to finish the new stuff died last night. Specifically, the hard drive is almost still working, but windows can't boot up anymore. Bleh.

et voila Apart from him trying to swing his ass this is "continuous". My main experience was to stay close at all times. If you're away too far, he'll do his roll attack.
Cool. That settles it. :) I'll start working on it when I can, but I don't know if it'll be this weekend or next week that I'll finish. However, I definitely want to work in this improvement so I'll go ahead and cancel the run... before people find some other small details (in the game) to start nitpicking about...

I wouldn't be surprised if Maha Ganesharrif can be done faster. It's the sloppiest looking fight there. (Although, entertainingly enough, if it really is "good enough" then his gloating before the battle has some validity to it, hehehe.)

No, I had not seen that video. Pretty cool. :) Maha Ganeshariff - When constructing the run I attempted to shoot him in the head while he was doing the E. Honda attack but was unable to. I can load that part and try some more. Naturally, since I couldn't find a way through his attack, I purposely manipulated him into doing anything but that attack when I could. (Although maybe I could grab some health for that battle? Requires some more experimentation.) Shiva - I'm not sure if I can manipulate him into doing that attack (I noted having trouble performing proper luck manipulation against bosses) but making him jump isn't too bad since that causes the boss fight to end much farther to the right. I can take another shot at luck manipulating for this. Herculius Anchortus - Looks like yours is a bit faster, but it looks like a lot of that is better luck (explicitly, you didn't have to manipulate it.) It's possibly offset by this run ending closer to the exit, though. I'm holding my ultimate response until I have a chance to play around a bit more. :) Edit: Missed Copy X Ring Holder attack No, I couldn't. I explicitly tried. Looking in your video, I see you: -Hit him just before he closes up -Attack with the second charged attack, but the first half of the attack doesn't hit him at all. Instead, there's a small delay since he is really vulnerable the frame just after launching the final ring. (That was what my testing revealed and what I saw in your video.) Which can give the impression of being able to, but I don't really see it.
