Speaking of which, it's taking Choco Rei-Chan a while to sub the episode.
Hearts and Hooves day is another CMC episode, Twilight Sparkle is the only mane character that appeared in the episode.

Can you understand why planking was a thing?
Can you understand why people smoke tobacco when every sane thought seems to be against it?
Can you understand why kids love Cinnamon Toast Crunch?
The world is full of strange and stupid things that people do or like. The Internet merely magnifies it.
The power ponies episode was a roller coaster of emotions. A very mild rollercoaster, but nevertheless. Some parts were fun, other parts just left me mostly apathetic.

Opposite Effect on me.
It was boring...
Also for some reason I thought she was a ponified Medusa (When I was browsing DA I saw Mane-iac at front page (What's Hot)... THEN I watched the episode).
Mane-iac: Joker (Apparently)
Spike: Robin
Pinkie : Flash
Fluttershy: Hulk
Apple Jack: Wonder Woman
Rarity: Some character from Green Lantern
Twilight: Cyclops?

Choco Rei-Chan is taking a holiday leave, she'll get back to subbing in two weeks.
Also, starting with The Last Round-up in the Japanese dub, a new intro theme.
Got back to my place so I could finally watch episode six and holy shit that was terrible.
And just when I thought season four was getting somewhere.

Castle Mane-ia I found decent enough. Daring Don't I wouldn't even call mediocre, it's one of the absolute worst episodes since the show started.

There's only one thing I can say about the latest episode:
I love vampire Fluttershy!
On a completely different note, a little rant about my pet peeve, namely Twilight's princesshood:
The whole concept came completely out of left field in the season 3 finale, and this season has done nothing but reinforce the fact that her princesshood/alicorniness feels completely artificial and tacked on. Even the writers don't seem to know what to do with that.
The fact that she can now fly has not been used even once in a significant manner, as a plot device (as far as I can remember). The fact that she's a "princess" has been used exactly once, in the season pilot, and even there it was one of the stupidest moments of the entire episode that made little sense (ie. her friends basically abandoning her and dissing her because she is a "princess"), and even the little actual drama that could have been resulted was resolved way too quickly, as if the writers just didn't care.
In fact, the writers don't seem to care about the whole new Twilight at all. Her new wings are tacked on only because they have to, and her new flight ability is never used for anything. The fact that she's a princess is never used for anything either (except that horrible mini-subplot in the pilot).
If the writers don't care, then why should I care?

I never really understood why everyone got so worked up over this princess thing anyway.
This was about what I expected would happen, and the writers assured us this is what would happen, yet everyone went bonkers.
Even the best player is limited by the speed of his fingers, or his mind's ability to control them. But what happens when speed is not a factor, when theory becomes reality?
The Season 3 finale was written back in November 2011.
The show might last for a couple more seasons, and what will there be in store for future generations?

Because if the writers actually did take advantage of the change in the status quo, people, and possibly you, would still be complaining. The wings have changed her! Curse those Hasbro execs! The wings have taken the Twilight we all knew and loved away from us!
A hundred years from now, they will gaze upon my work and marvel at my skills but never know my name. And that will be good enough for me.
