People have limits. They can do unique things if they figure out how to expand their limits. But they don't tolerate it when they feel they are pushed to their limits and beyond. So nobody should do that.
People need options to function. Without options people feel cornered and forced to hit their limits. Sometimes they agree to do bad things because they think they don't have better options. So more options is better, which is why prior research is mandatory to make a reliable decision.
People matter more than stances. If some stance makes people suffer, it should change. But we often forget the difference between people and stances. Sometimes a reliable stance makes people suffer too. In that case it should be refined to match other people's stances better. It's important to change a stance people are not ready for, because evolution is only possible if it's slow, gradual, and free. Courage to let people evolve naturally is called trust.
