FractalFusion's Chessmaster in 0:07.12 (428 frames). This is my 8th version.
  • Aims for fastest time
  • Manipulates luck (not heavily)
  • Makes the AI look horrible
The key to the run was in the little-known address 0x623, also known as a timer. I had to carefully manipulate so that the delay between actions was as short as possible. Note that even after performing some action as fast as possible, I have to move the cursor to luck-manipulate.
For a while, I was stuck on a time of 489 frames. It was only after I reduced the delay to almost nothing that I managed to get the dumb AI to make its last move soon enough. One good second saved.

Nach: While this is quick, and this is possible, I don't see the interest of this extending beyond the actual move list. Publishing a key press file or an AVI of this is redundant.
The moves: e2-e4 e7-e5 d1-h5 e8-e7 h5xe5++

There was a recent discussion on the inclusion of not-very-entertaining board game runs on the site. If you want to help get these kinds of movies published, you should post there. There are a lot of runs like Star Control II and Virtual Bart that were cancelled or rejected for technical or optimization issues. Most of those games are publishable, but new runs that fix the issues will have to be made first. For now, at least these three movies have a home on Gruefood Delight.

Aw, what adorable pet names! It's almost like you thought about them for more than half a second! You don't need him to tell you whether or not he would submit: The answer is no, because the Vault doesn't accept board games. This has, somehow, been posted several times now on the same page and yet you're still asking! What do we need to do to get you to listen? Do I have to degrade myself by ending each of my sentences with some Twitch loser's ugly face? It's fine if you want to dredge up some old rejected movies to get people to consider them for the Vault, but you have to understand that there are clear reasons behind why they were rejected in the first place. It doesn't take long to look through a thread and figure out whether or not a run can be Vault-worthy, so just... Do that. Please.

",it will remain the same for a lot "record worthy" content.All the movies are clear technical achievements which won't be found on the main page and that's thanks to people who don't speak up." The other games weren't even board games, like Virtual Bart.
I want all good TAS inside TASvideos, it's my motto. TAS i'm interested: Megaman series, specially the RPGs! Where is the mmbn1 all chips TAS we deserve? Where is the Command Mission TAS? i'm slowly moving away from TASing fighting games for speed, maybe it's time to start finding some entertainment value in TASing.

When the Vault was implemented, we went back and unrejected a lot of movies. However, we decided not to touch cancelled runs. Those were the author's wishes, and I would prefer to honor that. If they want to uncancel, that's fine, but it will be their choice. Grassini is trying to encourage authors to uncancel their movies and see them judged under the new rules. I see nothing wrong with that. For what it is worth, I'd prefer to see runs uncancelled and then rejected if need be, a verdict helps the community (setting precedents and refining rules). Plus, should rules change there's the option of unrejecting (we don't uncancel).
It's hard to look this good. My TAS projects

Virtual Bart was cancelled, meaning only the author (who I don't believe has been around for years) can decide whether or not they want to uncancel it. Same with Puzzle Bobble. Star Control 2 has sync issues because of how it was made. This was a board game. Each time you posted, you clearly showed you didn't bother reading up on the rules of the Vault, which is amazing considering you're practically in love with it. This isn't about whether or not these games can be published, and this isn't the proper place to talk about whether or not some of these games can be published. Hell, I even agree that there's a place for some of these runs. But you have to understand that it doesn't exactly help you or these runs when you blatantly disregard the rules and call people names for trying to correct you.
