Due to the overwhelming majority, we will announce the winner: Family Feud. Congrats to the winner. ---- The nomination process is over. Due to the number of nominations we will do a poll for 7 days with everybody's nomination. Then we will do a run off vote for the top 2. EDIT: The runoff was an error on my part. Given only 3 nominees, this will be the final vote. The nominees: [1248] SNES Family Feud (USA) by Heisanevilgenius in 06:46.28 [1333] SNES Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 (USA) by SDR in 16:46.58 [1285] SNES Chrono Trigger (USA) "glitched any%" by inichi in 21:23.98 Now go vote! ---- Nominate the TAS you think most deserves the Funny TAS award. Nominations will be 7 days, after which this will be turned into a poll with the nominated movies.

MarcoKarty's International Super Star Soccer Deluxe was published in 2010 so I'm not sure it qualifies for the 2009 awards.

If going purely by the merits of author's input, then it's Family Feud, no real contest here. The second would be Chrono Trigger glitched any% due to how hilariously it was broken, but the difference in entertainment rating shows for itself. As for stylistic choices in non-glitched speed-oriented movies, I'm not aware of anything special this year.

Family Feud has already won, there is nothing that comes close.

I agree Family Feud was funny, but I personally think that someone coming up with funny and usually rude lines, as the sole point of humor, pales in comparison to making a well known game do something hilarious, like putting a chair on trial.

I voted for Family Feud obviously. Highly Funny and in a novel way. And I love that it shows that you can do amazing things with rerecords other than beat something in the shortest period of time.

Voted for MK3 as an underdog -- It surprised me consistently with amusing bits, so was "funnier" to me than the (somewhat) predictable silly punchlines of Family Feud. But I'm thinking FF will win, deservedly so.

Family Feud was cute, but I got more laughs out of the upside-down Raidens and symmetrical violence of MK3.

I watched Family Feud, it was fun indeed, but as im not an english native speaker, many jokes didnt worked, also its very repetitive gameplay, i got bored by the end, ok tought the end was fun when you realize the black family cant even answer anything (this show does run here in france, so im not saying i didnt understood the concept). Voted MK3... overall i laughted more. I could have voted CT but well, i laughted more at MK3. Now for 2010 guys you gotta be very creative, the recent soccer run... its gonna be hard to beat it.

Google agrees, I don't know why, but people are flocking towards that run. At least we have a whole year to try ;)

Family Feud, because there's nothing there but fun, and it's a damn clever fun.

I did actually laugh at all three of these runs. Some of the glitches in UMK3 were quite amusing the extent to which they broke the game visually. I also think walking out of the court room in Chrono Trigger was one of the most 'WTF LOL' moments I've experienced watching a TAS. I do have to vote Family Feud though. It can be appreciated by people who aren't familiar with TASing. ArukAdo brings up a fair point that it may not translate well over language barriers, but I think it's safe to say it was utterly hilarious for most of us.

Family Feud gets my vote.. and mainly for the following reasons; 1. Genuinely freaking funny as hell 2. My girlfriend willingly sat down and watched it and enjoyed it, and she's not much of a watching game videos as much as she is playing games. 3. EVEN COWORKERS ask me if I've seen the video for this on YouTube! And I mean we're talking coworkers I NEVER would've pegged for watching something like that, let alone the ones who aren't gamers.
