Made another song
The first part of this song really took me someplace. I imagined myself floating through the stars. I forgot about the planets and everything else for a few minutes and just floated through space. I took my time and gazed at the beauty surrounding me, not having a care in the world. Then as the song's tempo changed, I imagined flying faster, visiting distant galaxies and viewing their stars. My experience ended when the rock section started, but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy that section too! Anyway, well done. The first part is wonderful and dreamy, and the second part is upbeat and catchy. Thank you for composing this music and sharing it here.

I've made a decent midi, some parts are bad, there's no panning, ending is random, didn't feel like redoing it. Posting here so I'll hopefully never try to improve it. Edit: Improved by removing the bad part at the end: Song Doujong

This one is pretty good. How much time did you invest composing it?

Some piano playing of mine. We used parts of this improvisation as the background music for a short film... http://new.official.fm/tracks/milg (Edit: updated the link)

Here's a song/video I made about some older two-player simultaneous games. It also features video from several TASes submitted here. Link to video You can click CC for lyrics since I'm going kind of fast, and many here don't have English as their first language. Most of my videos support this feature, though I'm not sure if it's available with an embedded video like this (Edit: seems to work from here, too).

This took absolutely no skill at all except reading and inputing notes, but I think it's nice, so... CLASSIC.mid It might even contain lots of mistakes, haha

It's been some time since I posted in this thread (or even posted in the forum at all, for that matter). I'm still around though, of course. I made a recording of me playing and singing Lady in Red, both for fun and to see how it turned out. You've probably heard the song before, but if not, you can listen to the original here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vt2YIpZWBqA Now, before I get any potential rocks thrown in my direction, I am well aware of the bad camera position, focus problems and dull playing - the chords are mostly there to help me stay in tune with the vocals. At first I didn't intend to upload this, but I think it turned out pretty nice, so perhaps someone will enjoy it. So basically the footage is not anything to write home about, but hopefully you'll enjoy the audio. Here goes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMVheiZjyJ8

Patashu: pretty cool stuff. You get a lot out of simple chiptune instruments. Here's some one-man progressive metal courtesy of me. I spent a lot of time in the summer learning to play guitar just to finally be able to do something like this. Link to video

The one thing I dislike is that the fast drum bursts sound fake (since the individual hits don't blend into each other at all and are too clean overall). Everything else is great :)

You shall use 2 slightly different samples for 16-th notes on a bass drum. Just lower the pitch A BIT and make it A LITTLE more quiet. It would sound like you use 2 kick drums.
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

I see. Gotta keep that in mind the next time this kind of drumming comes up. A new Iltami song! These two shall suffice for a demo for now. Link to video
