I make a comic with no image files and you should read it. While there is a lower class, I am in it, and while there is a criminal element I am of it, and while there is a soul in prison, I am not free. -Eugene Debs

Interesting. We don't see many people talking about tases other than "hah!!! you're cheating, that's too easy you lazy suckers, I wanna see you play like a real man". I wonder why he chose to lurk?

A shame he thinks Bisqwit was the name of the site, and not the name of the guy who created the site and has existed long before TASVideos, and still has his own unrelated things even after.

And where does he say he thinks that? On another note, indeed an interesting article. Here's his forum profile.

The site still held it's bisqwit name and it wouldn't be until Nintendo 64 TASing that the site would get renamed to TASVideos

I believe you need to keep rereading that sentence until you get it right.

I don't see anything changing by what else he wrote there. He's confusing the domain name with the site name. We were NESVideos, now We're TASVideos.

Oh wow, someone actually found that? I was referring to when the URL was called bisqwit.iki.fi and it went purely by memory. My apologies for anything that was wrong. Making long essays like that is something I actually get embarrassed about because what if I'm wrong about stuff? What if people blast me about it? This is why I don't do it very often. If I don't like posting about stuff like that then why did I even bother doing it? I don't know but it felt good to get something off my chest temporarily only to feel those "what ifs" later. I choose to lurk because I don't have much to talk about. I like seeing works in progress, I like seeing when a new trick is discovered that could heavily improve a run. I just don't actually post about it. I would like to make more posts but again, there just isn't much to say other than "wow this looks great" or "can't wait" and I don't think that's really worth posting.

Well, the workbench forum is the perfect place to say things like "I liked that!", so please do, if you have the time.

LazyKenny: I found the Metal Slug Advance part of your article interesting. I also know of the glitch that you are talking about. I think it has something to do with normal enemies filling the RAM address for the boss HP and by dragging them into the boss area and killing them they think the boss is dead. But I'm not sure it has been years since I've tested it. I remember that you PM'd me about it but I never replied because I was inactive on this forum and didn't get to read it until several months after you had sent it. I stopped working on it because someone (klmz?) said that the game was improperly emulated or something. Anyways, good to see TASvideos.org getting a good write up on quite a reputable game site like screwattack.com. Thank you! Hopefully you'll have another go at TASing!

Can I give a suggestion Kenny? How about popping around to the IRC channel that TASVideos has, it can be found at: Server: irc.freenode.net Channel: #tasvideos To save time if you don't have an IRC client, can I suggest perhaps using the nifty webchat that the IRC server has set up. You seem like a nice guy.
