I was TASing a romhack of SMW when the game switched my character to player 2. I never set my movie to be able to record player 2 actions, but I tried switching to player 2 anyway. And then somehow I glitched out the replay to make Snes9x think the entire replay is player 2 input and not player 1 input. How can I hex edit this out? Please help. No, your TAS has not been ruined at all. If your joypad is swapped, press '6' (default for joypad swap) to switch it back and it should work all well. Once that is done, go to hotkey config. Under Controls #1, disable Joypad Swap by giving it Esc. You will never need to use it, ever. P.S. Other than to fix the problem, of course.

No that's not what's going on. When I play it back, the entire TAS is in player 2 input when it's supposed to be in player 1 input.

Change byte 0x14 from 1 to 0.

I don't know of any function other than joypad swap that causes this. Reinstall Snes9x in a different folder, and see if it works. For some reason, joypad swap is bugged in some cases and can't even turn off.

That should not work. At least one joypad should be recognized.

I reinstalled it in a different folder and then Snes9x doesn't recognize any input at all.

Oops, you're right. So there is nothing wrong with the smv file: That byte being 1 means that joypad 1 and only joypad 1, is enabled. Adetque: There is no player2-input in that SMV at all. I agree that this sounds like a simple joypad swap configuration issue.

How would I re-swap the joypad again? I try to swap it in the middle of playing the movie and it doesn't work, and if a swap it before playing the movie it doesn't do anything.
