Meteos is a pretty good game to TAS, It might not be as extreme as Tetris DS but it has potential in High scores & 100/1000 Meteo-war modes. 100 Meteo-war TAS in 7:85 seconds

Eh, why don't you submit it? Short puzzle TASes are always welcome.

I'm not sure how I would end this movie input, high score screen perhaps? The video wasn't luck manipulated at all. It's only a 'demostration'. If any of the members in this forums admire this then I'll go ahead.

Bah. I could get a faster time by scribbling.

Not bad. Not bad at all. Suggestions for a "end" point: At the end of any Star Trip, preferably at the hardest difficulty getting the best ending possible. The ones that come to mind fast are the Straight Trip getting more than 500k points, or Mission Mode and beat True Meteo. Watching Heavendor at extreme speeds would be truly funny though.

And luck from the blocks too (the ones you have at the start and the ones later on). Salamoj told me it's possible to get an even faster time. I heard the fastest time is 7 seconds flat but I need to know if there is a site that hold these high scores.

There's over 10 endings and one of them was some giant fork. The credits has gameplay too so I'll play that one too if the credits are unskippable.

There's cyberscore http://cyberscore.net/game-meteos.php Although there was a person who had some incredible records that decided to remove them, it was swifty. I heard he maxed most of the records, although I've never played this game, so I can't tell you more...

Thanks :). I'm happy now that I haven't submitted this immediately. Maybe Star Trip with missions branch on Hardest 'playaround' style would be cool to watch.

Problem with that is that your opponents are faceless; a TAS of a vs match like that would give very little idea of what's going on or why the enemy is dieing when they are. How about a maximized score on the 2 minute meteo war? EDIT: Btw, 3 years ago I played this game and got really into it. Never perfected it but got good enough to be watchable. Here's my youtube playlist with deluge modes on 7 of the planets: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=2AD226359531B31E EDIT 2: Actually, here's something I'm curious about, but as a TAS tech demo. How many planets is it possible to get an infinite combo on? I know it's trivially possible on Grannest, and Mekks, for instance, and I've also done it on Jeljel and Brabbit but I've heard it's possible on planets like Florrest as well. On what planets can't you hit a 99x combo using TAS techniques?

Hevendor/Gravitas >_> Besides that I don't remember the nuances of each planet (besides the fact that infinite combos would be trivial on Brabbit).

Just curious why compare record with cyberscore? I refuse to believe records from there because they don't have any proofs. There's some BS record like this one - http://cyberscore.net/chart-11722.php for example.

nope, it's possible they would have used Action Replay or similar.

I'm not sure - is it really beyond human ability to get the max score on a planet with such a low gravity (= more time given after each screen clear to survey falling blocks and figure out a chain to link the whole thing)? And that's if you're not getting an infinite combo. EDIT: Wait, how do you cheat at Meteos? There's no action replay equivalent or anything.

By using this thing. Edit: Ok I'm sorry about getting thread going off-topic about cheating - it's alright to get TAS to defeat record score, but if you can't defeat those "text" or "picture" record, then they're not legit record, just saying.

I don't think it's even possible to force a TAS player to lose - the columns are 11 tiles high, which means with 6 colours there will always be a triplet you can make somewhere in the column (assuming no rare metals/items). In VS mode this isn't necessarily the case (you may have up to 10 different colours, plus items) so perhaps you could force a loss under esoteric conditions there.

Freeruns of some planets tased by tesusu are available. Link Making x99 in Hotted(ヒートヘッズ) is entertaining and useful. She reached 9,999,999 within 3 minutes on Mekks as a freerun, so maybe it's not so difficult to stop counter more faster on Hotted, Forte, or Megadom as speedrun.

Score attack on Megadom: Link to video Apparently you can keep a x99 combo even when your big screen spanning rocket refreshes - by making a smaller detached rocket, the combo is kept by the new small rocket and transferred to the next combo!

The main category I'd be interested in watching for this would be "fastest 9999999" for each planet where it's possible in a reasonable amount of time. The game does a good job at making the strategies different for different planets, and it would be interesting to watch. (Hevendor is, of course, humanly impossible, but depending on how the timing scales it may be TASly possible, although it would probably take years). Sadly, that category would probably be long and boring for everyone else.

Agreed that this would be the best category, it would show off fast scoring on every planet.
