hey guys. i can't get desmume 094 to work.. when i start it, nothing happens! it just crashed! and the send error report dialog appears :(
That might be because of SSE. Have you tried the official 'nosse' binary? If that allows you to boot up desmume, that's the cause of issue. Edit: another suggestion, if you set 3D renderer from OpenGL to SoftRasterizer, it might work well (my friend experienced such a problem before).

I'm new to this emulator and I was wondering how do you shut off the text on the side of the screen where it says Recording or Playback? I have yet to find out how to remove it..

There isn't any way to do it. It's part of the emulator. If you are recording AVI, it won't show up so there is no problem.

It seems to replace the regular color pattlete with black/yellow/white.(There is some blue in there, but is still mostly black/yellow/white.) Anyone know how to fix? Okay, blue SO does not equal RED.

Well, for 0.9.2+, I kinda have a problem that is opposite of the lag. My laptop has almost no lag, but the "Increase Speed" and "Decrease Speed" do not function (although the fast forward works). The emulation would not go slower than 100%. The only way I can slow down the game is through frame-advances. Is it just my laptop? Or is there something else?

Does anyone care about my incorrect-color problem?

Thats strange... Even when i mess up the 3D Settings i don't get those colors. Does this problem appear with every game? If yes, pls give us your system. This COULD be a Graphic Card problem.

Yes(by every game I mean this and New Super Mario Bros), and as far as I can tell I have an Acer system. I could ask my dad about it though. It could be a problem with [right click desktop--properties--customize], my windows are white instead of grey.

Snake was talking about hardware specifics, not necessarily the manufacturer. Your post was like saying "My car won't start, it's red!" ;)

Well, I use DirectX, if that's what you mean. Otherwise, I need to ask dad. [commencing to watch a TAS]

No, he means which graphics card is built into your computer. DirectX is just a graphical frontend required for a lot of games. Go to Start->Run, then type in "devmgmt.msc". Double-click on Graphics Card, and there you are.

It must be there, although my system calls it "Display Adapters" rather than "Graphics Cards" (you are lucky that I currently have an English version of Windows installed, normally I have Hungarian which calls it "Video cards").

Best way to get this information is through devmgmt.msc, under display adapters, if it just has a generic adapter then you'll want to go under properties and over to details, and paste the hardware ID into google. Or here, and I can look it up for you.

Yeah, I use a French Windows, so I translated "Cartes graphiques" quite literaly into English. So it's under "Display Adapters" when an English Windows is used.

I couldn't find the 'nosse' binary for 9.4+, do you know where the exact location is? I'm having a desync issue on GTA Chinatown Wars somewhere after/during the first cutscene.

Don't worry I know a solution of the desynch issue. After I deleted the sav file from my harddrive it was back to synch. But i will have to do it again because you can skip the 'all of the events of the game are fictional' message, I also hope that it would manipulate luck a bit bettter too.

Here's my honest recommendation: Ask your father to buy a new graphics card if it's a desktop PC. The graphics card built into your computer is very outdated. I'd recommend an ATI or nVidia graphics card. These can run DS games without color problems.

OpenGL starts out faster than SoftRasterizer, but gets slower than it in a few minutes. Is there a bug?
