Now 16 frames faster thanks to lag reduction. May be done faster by:
  • Further lag reduction. It seems it lags in ways that the counter doesn't pick up.
  • Clipping the first bush to get a small boost. Clipping subsequent objects wouldn't help since it doesn't move the screen any.

mmbossman: The best example of poor game choice is now closer to perfection. Rejecting.

It is interesting that just with small graphics and sound effect changes this game could have just as well been a space shooter. Oh, and this movie desynced at me.

I can't wait to watch this and give it a 10|10 I'll have to see if I still have any save files, but if you keep pushing yourself forward with the bushes eventually you wrap down to the bottom of the screen. One time, this resulted in turning into a tank.

If anyone is experiencing desyncs, the ROM name is "Front Line (J) [o2].nes" or "Front Line (J) [o3].nes". It syncs on those versions.

Well spoken.

Just a note. This submission is actually slower than the following submission, which was also unrejected for consideration of Vault tier: http://tasvideos.org/2331S.html For obvious reasons, the original (first) rejection message did not mention that it is sub-optimal.

I would vote Yes for was0x's improved run if it gets unGrued.

No to this, since was0x's run is faster.
