Unfortunately those programs don't help -- The rerecording feature didn't work in SSBM

This is incredible. If this all works out, we'll be able to make TASes of a current system. How awesome is that?
About as awesome as when we had GBA TASing. :P

If the emulator actually supports WiiWare Titles, then Megaman 9 will be a dream to TAS both for Real and In-game time runs (Sub 20 minutes here we come).

I also wouldn't say no to Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People. Actually maybe I would.

Not looking too promising because the xbox emulation scene is almost non existent.

And then when I downloaded the 32bit version I get all these DLL plugin errors. I tried to load Twilight Princess (the Gc version) and Metroid Prime 3 into my CD drive but my computer doesn't seem to read them.
Google the dll files and download them from the internet. You can get them from http://www.dll-files.com/

He said dll plugin errors, which isn't the same (even then you shouldn't be downloading random dlls for your PC). He should be looking at http://www.dolphin-emu.com/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=839 instead.

The recording thing does work. The newer versions fix a lot of problems I was having with desyncs.

// File description: Rerecording Functions
/* ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

How the timer works: We measure the time between drawn frames, not when the game is paused. So time
should be a fairly comparable measure of the time it took to play the game. However the time it takes
to draw a frame will be lower on a fast computer. Therefore we could perhaps measure time as an
internal game time that is adjusted by the average time it takes to draw a frame. Also if it only takes
ten or twenty milliseconds to draw a frame I'm not certain about how accurate the mmsystem timers are for
such short periods.
Rerecording: Added frame step function and status bar for the input recording. Turn on frame stepping with Ctrl, step with Space
Frame advance works btw.
Rerecording and nJoy: Copied the recording functions to nJoy

I recently downloaded the latest revision of Dolphin SVN (2390), and there aren't any playback/recording functions in the input plugin (Dolphin KB/X360pad) like the ones shown in the image (at the right of the XInput Pad box). Did I miss something?

probably because of the high desync, at this time, I could not record anything that synced in the playback.
I don't need a Signature

Same problem with revision 2446 (record/playback & frame stepping features not showing up). Do I need to change something in the source before compiling? Please someone tell me what to do :(

I fixed the problem by downloading other revision, but the frame advance feature won't work? Any way to turn this on before compiling? Please help!

Hi there :) I'd like to know exactly what are the files needed to make TAS possible on a GameCube game ? And also, which emulator and how to configure it ? ^^ I'm one of the best Home-Run Contest players in France on SSBM, and I'd like to make TAS videos on this mode thanks to my knowledge of the characters and of the strats. Thanks a lot ;) ! (I've already got the game iso)

I suppose you need the latest Dolphin, the game ISO, and a working bios file. I'd suggest you to wait until everything needed (savestates and emulation in teh first place) is implemented properly, unless you want your TAS to be incompatible with later versions. Edit: spelling.

I see :) Well, I'm already able to play the game, even if it runs slowly. The most important thing I need is a good pad, or an adapter for a GC controller . I don't know why, but I can't use the keyboard :s I think I'll ask this on the Dolphin-emu forum ^^

I thought you could use action replay for this kind of thing. I thought there was a frame by frame mode code? EX: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaA3UEm2JGY&feature=related

I believe that frame by frame code was some hidden developer test code that was activated using AR/Gameshark. The frame advance would have been used for debugging the game, but disabled for the final release. So all the cheat code does is activate this debug frame advance mode. Making a code that would add frame advance to a game that didn't have that feature at all (or had the feature completely cut out instead of simply disabled) would require a lot of insight to the game's programming. It would also likely be very long.
