Disney is rather hypocrite in this matter. For instance, they didn't have any problem adapting "The Jungle Book" from 1894 only a few years after it entered public domain by natural copyright expiration.

I would totally buy some TASVideos merch, because that would be totally awesome in more ways I could count. So...yeah. Whenever it happens, you've got a customer. Cha-ching!

When do the copyrights for the NES series games expire?
Wikipeda says it will expire when one of these conditions is true: * The work was created and first published before January 1, 1923, or at least 95 years before January 1 of the current year, whichever is later; or * The last surviving author died at least 70 years before January 1 of the current year And if I'm not mistaken, whenever the deadline is approaching, Disney will have it extended. Basically, under the current system, copyright will never expire.

That is, of course, for US copyright law. Other countries have different laws. US copyright law is pretty ridiculous right now.

How about a girls' shirt saying "TAS me!"?

How about we start smaller? Are there any graphics artists among the readers? How about creating TAS-related wallpapers, logos, icons, skins (eg for winamp), themes (eg. for firefox, PSP, etc), and so on?

Well, I may be able to employ one of my art homies, or perhaps work together with him on it. Although having a knack for the arts, I have about 0 formal training... so I am a much better at critiquing than doing. If someone else happens to pick this up, I would love to work with you on this :D

You may learn as you get older many girls aren't impressed when you do everything (everything) as fast as possible ;)

Also, "TAS me" gives me a few horrible mental images I'd rather not see again...

The gif you had on the RockmanTricks page was the easiest way for me to verify the speed. Also, I put pixels per second because 16 pixels per frame is less impressive and more confusing to the public.

Yeah, "Anti-TAS me!" That works better. Just to reply to NrgSpoon, I had my family look at it and pixels per second makes more sense.

Ahh... thanks. I had nearly forgotten about those. Though animations aren't really easy to put in t-shirts :P

Well, for the mega man zipping one, any one frame from the animation would work, because the spark trail implies motion. The zelda and Mario 64 ones could be a bit more difficult, though.

I have no clue what the copyright laws entail, but I would definitely buy a T-shirt of a screenshot during any infamous glitch. *There are just examples based on pictures I could find. Another obvious screenshot would be megaman walking or zipping inside some wall he shouldn't be. Seeing any of these on a T-Shirt would definitely arouse curiosity from the general public. *I would also add to the copyright arguments that full videos of gameplay through a game never get removed from youtube. *Leisure Reading - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_use

Would this imply the pronunciation is "tayse" "tase" or "tace" (those three are the same in my head) as oppose to "tass." Are we really willing to make such executive decisions here? I vote we make the pronunciation "tase" to make Whelkman's joke work / be funnier. Are there any European/crazy letters, dots, symbols, accent marker dealies that would make the pronunciation that way? It might add a visual flare, and it would be a tribute to all the European/crazy people who contribute to this site.

Actually, I pronounced it "tass". Part of the "joke" is the pronunciation play.

I always thought of it as "tazz"

I've always just said the individual letters.

Bump. I really want a TASVideos T-Shirt. My debate team used this site called CustomInk to design team T-Shirts. Perhaps the same could be done for TASVideos? If people make designs using this site and individuals order them for their own purposes, I figure that might be able to circumvent any issues with copyright. I'd try this myself, but I'm not very artistic. Anyone want to give this a shot?
All the best, Brandon Evans
