Yeah, please don't go back. For me it's not worth the extra wait for me to see the number of frames be one lower. =P Or even 3 if it's possible to do the Flashman fight ending on the highest level as well. Only if it was about 30-60 would I say go for it. Edit: I just watched it and have no idea which one is faster. =P Where's the slowdown button for Windows Media Player? =( Edit 2: Okay, the bottom one is faster, like I had guessed since there's less air time, but I really couldn't tell unless I paused it and scrolled through the frames. Yeah, it's really not worth it. Though now that you brought it up, Bag of Magic Food will be all sad to not see it there.

What program did you use to put the two videos together? So you can't combine the all ready made files for the other level to the new heatman level?

I suppose it screws up the random generator so he'd have to redo anything involving randomness.

Considering how much randomness there is, there's basically a 49% chance that it would save more than a frame, a 49% chance it wouldn't save time (possibly losing time), and a 2% chance it would save exactly a frame. Or something like that. And it would require basically doing all of the major parts of the run over again. (at least, that's how I think it goes. Maybe it's like 45% 45% 10% or something, but yeah, it seems like it'll be something like that) There actually would likely be more time saved since there would probably be new optimizations and all, but at this point, it would be best to just save that for a new run.

Well, in Rockman3. Me and angerfist were fighting over frames before the magnetman boss door. It turns out that he made his 1 frame faster than mine, and we both had to have delay to make magnetman do one routine. He had to delay 2 frames while i had to delay 1 frames, so it evened out. 1 frame can mean alot, or nothing.

mmh.. i have tried to plan Dr.Wily levels but there is really many proplems if using more item1s.. we need refills etc. mmmm.. this needs some more time to plan i don't know when this TAS is going to be ready.. somewhere around Summer or before the schools end and im waiting for Bisqwit if he have some plannings/tactics already.. Bisqwit is much more skilled with megaman games than me

Getting refills should be least of your concern. You've got Bisqwit, yourself and BisqBot for that.

It is a concern, because enemies are scarce (an enemy might be located in zone you would want to zip through instead) and to get a refill, you need some weapon switches.

I watched the Wily fortress part of finalfighter's run just now, and I spot only two places with even a remote chance of providing worthwhile refills. The first is in Wily2, where finalfighter uses item3 briefly. Using item1 might both be faster and give an opportunity for a refill just after killing an enemy with woodshield. The second spot is in Wily3, where finalfighter takes damage. Part of the time lost from an extra weapon switch would be made up for by not getting hit. All other refill opportunities seem to require at least two extra weapon switches, which is unlikely to pay off.

Very nice WIP I think that it is a good idea that uses the death for MechDragon. I think that it should replenish it when certainly using it for 2 pieces extra with wily1. If another one large energy is taken, it is necessary to exceed the recovery time of large energy (by using three remaining item1. ) If you extra use two item1 for the part that doesn't quicken so much by wily1, you might use it with wily2. Wily1-item3x3 point: #T## ##T# ###T<- This item1 you go up in the ladder completely? Isn't it fast to put it out at the same time as jumping? Because it is not possible to move in rockman while the hand has been put out. MechDragon: Q is hit at 1frame intervals if it appropriates it to mechdragon in the very short distance. (Horizontal) (2frame interval usually. ) Did you consider that?

I watched the WIP for this, and i must say that this time i have no qustions. Only one. when going to the mech dragon, would it be faster to use Item2, then get energy for it later? from what i can remember it is at full energy. other then that, nice job. Also, i dont understand what FinalFighter is trying to say. not at all.

I believe he's saying that the "look at my hand, I just threw something!" animation should be spent in the air as much as possible.

The part with the dragon is auto-scrolling, and switching weapons two more times. I can't remember how it's going to be used later on though, so I don't know if it's possible to refill at a place where you wont have to switch from it before using it either. Why don't you try it yourself? That's what I do when there's something that is unclear to me.

We were already redoing a bunch of stuff because the Woodman stage was changed. Bubbleman stage is just en-route to the stages we were at (Wily1/Wily2) before that happened. But thanks to this diversion, we are now about 180-200 frames ahead the WIPs posted … before. ∼+165 due to woodman changes ∼−15 due to automatic losses in copypasting ∼+50 due to improvements in Bubbleman stage
