The only reason that doing Bubbleman early helps in any other stage is that his weapon kills Heatman quickly (or at least I haven't seen any other use for Bubble Lead in the other 7 stages). So if you were to do Flashman first, then Heatman, then everyone else besides Bubbleman, then you'd have all the items and you'd also have Metalman's weapon for the Bubbleman level. The combination of extra tricks that can be done in the Bubbleman stage (it was about 10 or 15 seconds [I forgot which] of improvement before some of the new tricks were found) and the much faster Bubbleman fight outweighs the time saved in the Heatman fight from having Bubble Lead. Well, that's according to my calculations anyway. No one else seemed to say anything else about it, so I can't promise you that they're correct, but I think that, at the very least, it's worth looking into.

CoolBumpty already stole my thunder. Don't do Heatman first, just do Bubbleman last. EDIT: Shinryuu, I'm assuming you are comparing to Finalfighter's movie? FCEU lags more than Famtasia at some times, which was evident when Bisqwit did his Rockman 1. Unless you're missing something obvious, it might just be that.

Looks like it's based on the same trick used in the airman => Wily 2 (2?) glitch. Only it's a different wily stage.

Did you try using further special item glitches to traverse the fake level?

It's been discussed already. The fake level is just an overflown map data. It's still the same stage even though the player is traversing the map data of another stage. The level can't be completed unless you find a way to summon the real level boss into that fake map, in which case you'd still complete the stage you started from, not the fake map.

I don't know if it's been discussed before (althought I'm pretty sure of it, since it's a logical thing to try), but what happens if you die in that overflown map data?

You will restart the same stage but still be in the extra portion of the map. The game keeps a stage number in a separate location, and it is only affected by the killing of bosses, not by moving around the map. The stage number tells which boss will appear at the end of the stage (which is marked in the map data). If you overflow from Airman stage to Wily2, the game will still think that the boss of that stage is Airman, and he resides in the end of the Airman stage. There will be no boss in the Wily2 map data, because your stage is still Airman.

doubtful. From what ive learned about megaman games, You cant actually finish the round from another location. So, using wrapping like i demostrated, cant be helpful. Unless you can go a really long ways and die, and end up further in the level. But dieing takes so much time i doubt its ever worth it.

What if you could make the game beleive you just fought for example Air man the second time? At the re-fights I mean. Would that teleport you to the level select screen again or would you be spawned somewhere else?

Has anyone found a way from Bubble Man's level into the fake Wily 4 level already? I once saw a screenshot of Mega Man in Wily 4 using the Bubble Man stage graphics, but never saw a video of this being done (it was a photo of a TV, actually, so it was most likely performed on the actual console, too).

Trivial. https://files.tasvideos.org/bisqwit/rockman2-bubblewarp.fcm Note that the game handles ladder as water in this stage, and it's impossible to climb a water-ladder. (The movie intentionally contains a death.)

Well, to do that, you'd need to make the game think that you're in Wily5 (stage number 12). And if you can do that, you should make the game think that you're in Wily6 instead (the musicless stage), so you can complete the game faster...

I have serious proplem with Rockman2 .. When in playing Heatmanstages "longteleportblockroom" When i land last time in my movie it must be xxx56 or xxx57.. and somehow Blocks appearing time is random by my movements i think but im not sure. my time was now xxx7x .. I have reached _ONLY_ One time this xxx57 frame with 100% speed.. "lol" but i wanted to make it better/cooler.. and i have played this same act for a weeks and i cannot find the proplem.. Does my movements suck ? is there some lag ? why blocks appears sometimes like a random.. "randomness" i have spend so much time for this and my brains are going explode now.. :) Link http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/536/

I just saw your wip and could not find any lag sequence in Heat Man. What could "maybe" affecting the blocks appearance is due to when you release yourself from the ladder?

Found a funny thing when I was playing with my sister. Don't know if anyone has told this before but, here it is: You can freeze a metal blade in the air and it still harms enemies. I can upload a short movie if anyone is interested. It may be some use in some bosses for example wily.

Yes, it'll freeze if you press up+down or left+right when shooting it. (You could have told that in your post, but you chose not to.)

Why woulden't it be useful? If a weapon can be static inside a boss it would harm him ASAP right? Without you having to do much else than watch. Could this be used perhaps to place a blade inside wood man so that the leaves doesn't bounce the blade away perhaps? Otherwise it could be a funny finishing move for a boss, to leave the blade visable after the killing shoot.
