I can't wait to see the run, good thing you picked this game up. It was so much fun back in my school days when I played it, one of the best SNES games I think (just look at the title.. completely summarizes the fun factor :).

Yet another small update. I just finished the last bonus level, the one after level 33. Hmm. I don't know what to add really. I managed to get 2 pairs of speed shoes which will come in handy later on and I still have an ok amount of skeleton keys. About the bonus level, it should be the last (according to the FAQ) even though there should be a "bonus level" after level 47 (you collect 10 cheerleaders I think (it's not 10 actually but 6) and then you have the "secret bonus". You're not playing any bonus level though). I hope I'm right about this and this should mean that there are only 16 levels left.

I just checked, and there aren't any more bonus levels. And I can explain why there aren't any bonus levels either. ^_^ Originally, this game was only supposed to have 36 levels in it. However, someone decided to tack about twelve more levels onto it, and they did that. My guess is that there were going to be bonus levels, but they never got around to adding them in before the game was released, so they probably just forgot to take the bonus level bit out of the game. And that's why you also have two boss fights.

That I didn't know. Good thing about the bonus levels though. Now I know for sure how many levels there are left and also I can proceed without missing anything ;)

Level 36 is completed and the glitch did not appear! I'm pretty glad about that actually ;) Uhm. I don't know what to add actually. The big bad spider went down pretty fast by some bazookas, pandoras boxes and a bunch of fire from the flame thrower. I'll just move on to level 37.

Did you find a way to manipulate the way the Pandora's Box attack thing goes? Whenever I use it, it all runs around the screen like a hyper child on acid in every direction except what would be the most useful.

Yeah, they did some good damage on the spider and also, the more important reason, they let you be invincible for a short moment.

It's finished with a time of 59:47. Slightly under an hour, which was better than I was hoping for ;) While testing different tactics on the last boss/es I ended the game a few minutes over an hour.

If the "radar" is set on autofire the game forgets to update the characters animations. I didn't use this though because I found it irritating with the blinking and noise.
That's not quite what I meant. I meant, if you do it every frame (LRLRLRLRLR) it will still do the animation glitch but the radar will not blink or make noise. Anyway, this is looking very good.

Aha. I understood it that way and I also tested it that way. Since I'm about to redo level 48 I maybe can toss it in as a finishing cool-looking trick at the credit level.

Do you guys think it's a bad thing the radar is visible for a few frames in Zombies? I performed Nitsujus glitch in the credit level but I couldn't get the radar to be turned off from start so It's visible very briefly. Also, while doing the glitch I can't shoot, thus it's visible for another fewer frames later on in the same level. I wasn't disturbed by this when watching it through but it might be better if it can be avoided? To be honest I don't really understand the difference between "toglify" and "turbo tog". Maybe I screwed up there? Time wise it didn't cost me anything.

"togglify" means auto-hold (held every frame), "turbo-tog" means auto-fire (pressed every other frame), sorry they have such goofy names in the dialog. I think the radar can be kept from showing at all if you do it while exiting an area where you can't change the radar (like jumping out of water or off trampoline) and depending on whether L or R registers first, but... it's really not that important since it doesn't save/lose time or anything, so I doubt anyone will object either way.

I got the radar off pretty quickly. Now it's not annoying. Also I somehow managed to shoot while surfing around by tricksing a bit with save/loading ;) The improved time is 59:15 and now I'm satisfied with it. Huge thanks Nitsuju for the help.

Dude, I'm saving a candy bar to eat specifically for your run. You realize I'm totally excited to see this, yes? ^_^

Just to satisfy my curiosity... what happens when you surf around water?

As far as I have tested nothing special happens, meaning that the jump in/jump out from water and trampolines doesn't change. The animation is the same. It's when landing or getting up from the water it could get interesting, ie. look funny.

I'm sorry for the sudden bump, but I was wondering if those of you who have the current TAS of this game could please upload it. I forgot to save this TAS before I had my computer restored.
