How come I didn't know about this... You can play right now 50 games competing for highscores, which are automatically checked on the fly, by the emulator. I'm not sure how it manages to "make sure" the high scores are legitimate, but it's still fun. Some games make little sense though, mario 3 is just a matter of playing for 5 hours straight till you get 99,999,999 points, balloon fight's score goes back to 000,000 after you pass through 999,999 so you'll need to be lucky to hit 999,950 if you want to tie with the 1st place, etc etc. But it's still fun :). http://www.ubernes.com/ There are also 4 games which support speedruning, but I haven't completed any of them yet to see where it decides the game has ended.

Does the scoreboard only show one attempt per player? With a quick glance I couldn't find any player twice on one list. EDIT: I tried it but something's wrong with the controls. Sometimes the game didn't respond at all no matter what button I pushed and sometimes it locked the right or the left arrow key and I couldn't do anything. It ruined my game both times. Deleted.

I wonder, how well Baxter would do in the tetris rankings :)

Yes, it shows the player's best score/time. The major complaint is how often the scoreboard is updated. Last update was july 9th : / I've sent an email to the developer about that, he should automate it. edit: oh? that's odd about the controls... Never heard anything like it about this emulator, and I know a lot of people that are using it. edit again: the updating of the ranking board is fixed now it's fixed everyday

I tryed, but it dosent like smartjoy plus, becaus for somerason it dosent allow to edit left and rigth botons :\ EDIT: Now I tryed it more... -rigth botton lock'd, so it nearly inbossible to play games like contra, super mario, Startropicks etc -runs only 48fps, slow as hell, even my old ibm thinkpad runs them faster (150mhz, 80mt ram9 whit Damm Small Linux and Tuxnes (fps are 50 - 60, more playable than übernes) EDIT: I noticed that I used PAL at settings, I switched it to NCTF (whatever) and it runned around 56fps... -Startropics 2 dosent run at all (like FCU, but it work'd well on virtuanes), I just hear werid sound effect and grew&green screen.... Also I got startropics 1 work, what dosent run on FCU and virtuanes (bad rom, I quess), but it is inpossible to play becaus that f**** controller bug >:(

Bump! I don't know why I didn't get the greatness of this earlier! FODA, nice time attacks you've got there! I submitted my first one this morning - Duck Tales in 8:29. I'm pretty happy with it, but I'm still 15s behind the Speed Demos Archive run (which uses the (E) version of the game, which plays rather differently).

UBERNES sucks. The emulator is inaccurate. Battletoads hangs on level 6.

A new version came out recently, I hope it fixes your problems... Just beat the leading run for Super Mario Bros 2. My top times so far: Duck Tales: 8:29 Mega Man II: 34:00 Super Mario Bros 2: 11:46 My Duck Tales run is already in the online gallery, and the two others should be in a couple hours - as will the SMB2 record...

I have been playing on a website that runs emulators on the browser, and it keeps high scores for a LOT of retro games for almost every popular 2D system, including coin-op and gameboy. The only reason I haven't talked about it yet was that it is illegal...
