Here's a TASing challenge: Get one input file that beats both Doki Doki Panic and Super Mario Bros. 2 (USA, of course). Theoretically, it can probably be done. It would be interesting to see. I'd do it, but embarassingly enough, I can't figure out how to "switch sides" with the Famicom emulator. It might be possible to have the SMB2 part skip ahead of the Doki Doki part, but it would be weird... Would it be possible for a movie like this (Insertnamehere's NES Doki Doki Panic and Super Mario Bros. 2 in 13:37) to be published on TASvideos, with the 2 videos next to each other?

In FCEU 0.98.16, "Config -> Enable Background Input". Try it and we'll see if it's interesting enough.

Doesn't Doki Doki Panic require each character to complete every level individually, so you can't complete a level, then do the next level with a different character? (unless that character has already completed the previous level)

Yes, so it seems that the entire game would be ran through by 1 character, probably Toad, as the only level Toad would have issues with is 6-2.

You can't run in DDP though. That would probably ruin a lot of the shortcuts that you might think of.
I like my "thank you"s in monetary form.

It MIGHT be possible to have the 2 movies desync (I.E. with the two movies in different places) but it would be a nightmare to coordinate. Does SMB2 have any large between-level animations not in DDP?

Looks to me like it will immediately desync.

Don't forget that DDP also has load times, as well as requiring all characters to beat the game to get the real ending. Interesting idea but not possible.
