INTRODUCTION

Emulator: Gens 9J/9Z
Goals:
  1. Aims for fastest time
  2. Variety and entertainment if it barely affects (1)
  3. Abuses programming errors/glitches
  4. Takes damage to save time
Alright, my third submission for this game, an improvement of ~20 secs off my previous run.

IMPROVEMENTS

Most of the improvements made this time round can be attributed to better, more precise playing in the first few levels of the game, as well as quicker movement using shoulder bash.
Major route changes are credited to XYZ, who reminded me to use the Powerfist to end stage 2-2, and also discovered the glitch used on the Mortus.

SPECIAL THANKS

XYZ is perhaps the single most important reason why the run is improved so vastly, kudos to him for discovering so many new tricks :)
Maximus and his trusty little movie editor once again saved my project countless number of times, so thanks again dude,
moozooh for all the compliments he had for my earlier run; hope this doesn't disappoint you,
and EVERYONE else at TASVideos. Enjoy the run

Truncated: Accepted as an improvement to the previous version. Good work.
Bisqwit: Tidying up some markup on this page (you can use # instead of *1) for enumerated lists), and processing for publication.
Bisqwit: Scratch that. It desyncs for me. Does it require some special input configuration perhaps? Or a special emulator version? I'm using the same version of Gens that I have used since June 2006... if this movie is not compatible with that version, well, tough luck. I have not been informed about new emulator versions that are not sync-compatible with the old versions, nor provided with patches... Moving along.

adelikat: Syncs fine for me, so I will handle this one.

Very nice! This movie is one of the fastest flowing that I've watched, I think because of the dialog and the very entertaining graphics. I remember renting this game as a kid and getting to the second level :P It's impressive to see it dominated like this.

Man, this game is getting weird. "Power blast" while hanging from a rope... lmao. Other than the constant squat-wobbling (squabbling?) and generally uninteresting/uninspired use of waiting periods (like rolling into the corner- or did that serve a purpose?) it was fantastic. Yes vote, naturally.

Rolling into the corner is usually used for luck manipulation purposes, or occasionally to skip dialogue and make arrows appear faster. As for the "squabbling", I think it makes sketch look cute, as though he is gushing :P EDIT: Btw, "Power Blast"-ing from the rope is intended by the game... the charring of the rope seems to be a graphical glitch though

Besides the wobbling, this is so much better and more comical than the last one, so Yes for you. :)
