If you're talking about the 'all exits' run, I don't consider the goal sphere to be the same as the tape exit.
Umm... the goal sphere and the tape both get the same exit. A level is set up to have either a normal exit, or both normal and secret. Goal sphere and goal tape both activate the normal exit event for that level, unless of course it's a secret tape exit.. like in the ghost house's.

So, it has been a while since the last post and I am curious about both 96-exits runs. Some update?

We're all working hard on our own projects right now and we just haven't really spoken about it really. Honestly I think we're all still rather hesitant to start the run in fear of arbitrary or unsatisfying goals. :p

MRO quit TASing, so it's only me and gbreeze, since bahamete, mister, kaizoman and mister don't want to callab on it, there are two 96-exits on the go...

To be fair, you aren't at their level of skill in the first place. I'd say that the 100% that has yet to be started is a dead topic for now (or at least until bahamete finishes up TSRPR).

To tell you the truth, I'm faster than ism on the project I restarted, for about 50 or 40 frames...

With what improvement? There are already a few known improvements even in yoshi's island (as we see in the recently obsoleted any%) so it's no wonder that you beat ISM's wip. Or if you beat his wip at other places that would be great.
Retired because of that deletion event. Projects (WIP RIP): VIP3 all-exits "almost capeless yoshiless", VIP2 all-exits, TSRP2 "normal run"

I found two improvement on YI2 over the any% that I did not used them, since I don't see the 96exits like the any%, I'm not gonna use cornerboosts or cornerclips to save just one frame, I will use them if I have the chance to save way more time. In resume, not gonna waste my time and gbreeze's on them if they won't save much time.

Is this ISM's WIP, the one in question? http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/728733175/smw-96exits-ism-wip7.1.smv Because it's freaking awesome!!!

You saved two frames in yi2 from corner boosting? Where are there more places to do them? Well I think you should post your improvement here for future reference. But maybe such an improvement would be lost from yi1 frame rule of death.

I located two more possibles save timer, I did not tested since I don't care about doing this for the 96exits, and the improvements onthe any% come from YI2 and YI1 I believe (as regnum showed us)

Would you be so kind as to disclose these ideas? :p Edit: Regnum0nline demonstrated an improvement in yi1, which is in our updated any% smv. If you have two more improvements, please say.

1) ISM wasn't on that list, so I don't know why you're bringing him up. 2) You're saying you're "better" than ISM because you used a glitch that hadn't been discovered yet when he did it? I don't understand that logic. Either way, I think four people working on a TAS is plenty at once--any more and it just gets too decentralised.

I talked about him because he has the fast WIP on 96exit so far (not finished). So what I'm doing is comparing my run to his, since the other guys didn't even started yet. I agreed with you about my skills at TASing, comparing to them, but not about getting descentrelised, since it's actually really really easy to organize this kind of things on a TAS, even if it ware 10 persons working on it.

They've done YI2 already.

I'm actually organizing a larger TASing collab (eight people IIRC), so I know that it's not extremely easy.

but that goes from the power of management and seriousness from everyone.....I'm used to cordenate more than 10 people in doing projects since school, I'm not saying it's easy, sure is hard, but depends on who you're working with

It gets considerably more difficult when the people you're working with live thousands of miles away.

You can still talk to them at school. This discussion is largely irrelevant to the topic.

bahamete coded a script to display all of the important values we needed. Alternatively, you could watch each one in the RAM watch.
