Well I went to ACMLM's board to post about the situation. You know, I say it's as good as SDW, you hate it. Well, Madman 200 posted the following on the board Quote:I like it for he fresh new way of doing things it has. Re-arrangement of the entire overworld, Having to use switches to get past some areas, the "5" P-Switch block, and even a later-on level that requires Small Mario! I'm have a particular nod for the Urchin-Cross at the moment, requiring an Urchin to navigate a narrow cavern filled with Heat Blocks. But really, it's all a matter of opinion. This is a real nice hack, but there's always someone who won't like something.

Do you notice how he doesn't even mention the graphics, he only mentions the gameplay? Get over it, graphics are not the most important thing in a game for everyone. Don't take it so personally.

I'm locking this thread; it seems to have been reduced into pointless bickering. (If you have argument with this decision, take it to PM with me; don't start a post in another thread about this same topic.)

Welcom to the new and improved Super Mario World: The Second Reality 2 thread. Now that my ban is over, I've looked at the old thread and seen the error of my ways. So, this thread will be for continuing disscussion of TSRP2. To prevent argument however: THIS THREAD IS ONLY FOR DISSCUSSION OF TSRP2! Disscussion of Super Challenge World can only take place in it's respective thread here on the forum and no other SMW hack may be brought up here.

I'm glad that you are willing to improve yourself. That's the right way to go about this. (Hmm. I must admit that I wasn't around during the last topic, so I don't know how that went, but if it was locked, then there must have been a reason for it.) EDIT: also, please stop using this topic as your personal sandbox for calling people names, or whatever you've decided it should be.

Seeing the trailers for it made me interested, but when I tried to play it I couldn't make myself get through World 1. I heard that the level designs improve after World 2, though.

That's right, I'm new and improved too! But remember:ONLY USE THIS THREAD FOR TSRP2 DISSCUSSION! PEOPLE STRAYING THIER INTREST TO SUPER CHALLENGE WORLD IN THE OLD THREAD IS WHAT LED TO THE ARGUMENT!

In my opinion (based solely on the screenshots on its homepage), it looks too unprofessional. It is guilty of the following offenses: - Trying to cram everything between earth and heaven into that game - Lacking a consistent style. When I look at the screenshots, I feel like I'm looking at five different games. And the level design sometimes looks like it's straight from a random generator. Challenges for the sake of challenge, without a spirit behind. Graphics for the sake of graphics, without a connecting theme. What's Kirby doing there? Sonic level graphics? Too many of the screenshots are coloured like some carneval. It just cries out, "unprofessional". Does not reach anywhere near Super Demo World, except in laboursomeness. Though, SDW has some warts too...

You do seem keen to renew yourself here so I'm happy to give constructive comments on TSRP2. I still don't think the game is popular enough or well suited to TAS, but it did have some fun moments and it did have good novel value. I'll also remove my unconstructive earlier comment with a full apology ;) Don't make me regret it by stirring shit up again.

Hey Funguy10! Glad to see your back in one piece! :) I'm actually done with 2nd Reality. Although it was a fun topic for a fun game, i got enough of Smw hacks. Hope this topic will be as entertaining as the last one... Except for all the bullshit.

I know this was probably mentioned in that *previous* post that sounded like recess on the 2nd grade playground, but why don't you want to TAS this yourself? You seem to have a genuine interest in it, and learning to TAS really isn't hard, it just takes a little time and patience. So how about you give it a shot first by yourself and ask everyone for help along the way, instead of asking other people to do it? It will be much more personally fulfilling, I'm sure.

Why quit when it's not worth it when this hack is quite popular? Just finish it and post it here and I'll see just how good it is.

If I remember right, you didn't want to run it even before that ban, and tried to get 3 or 4 people to do it for you. I've never seen this hack, and never really played mario much (I had a genesis as a kid), so I can't vouche for how good of a movie it is, but you like it, so you should want to do it. Anyway, enough squabbling, don't want this thread to get locked too...

I quit because A. I am not very good at Mario, as you could see in the run i did. B. I saw mrz's run, that was very well played and still didnt think it was worth TASing. Why dont you ask Bossman, since he's the smart one:P

I have no interest in this hack, the original game, or Mario in general. So I'm obviously the best person to do this, simply to fulfill your desire to see it *read with heavy, heavy sarcasm*
