This time,me and vsmk3 dicided to beat previous run. We found some interesting glitches that they are useful in the game. So we were very sure the obsolete previous run can be saved more and more time.
  • Aims for fastest time
  • Takes damage to save time
  • Abuses programming errors
  • No passwords
  • Manipulates luck
Obsoletes previous run by 6030 frames / 100.5 seconds(game time : 3762.text time : 2268) Time: 134063 frames / 37:14 Minutes Re-Record Count : 29148
Our route:Cloud-Junk-Freeze-Burst-Slash-Spring-Shade-Turbo
Intro – 4 frames gained
Cloud – 243 frames lost Because no danger wrap weapon.
Junk – 373 frames gained We improved Bablo's glitch. Thanks Bablo who discovered the trick. The new glitch had been used "sliding on R.JET through the wall ".
Freeze – 967 frames gained Most of the frames gained came from boss battle,we did a entertraining trick before against the boss.
Burst – 166 frames gained The R.JET was very important in the stage.Etc through the bomb, take damege zip the wall.
Slash – 70 frames gained Nothing special in the stage.
Spring – 261 frames gained Two new techniques had been used. One of the techniques was the same in the junk stage. The other was "fly+jump?".I don't know how to describe it,but I think you will like it.
Shade – 11 frames gained Nothing special in the stage.
Turbo – 43 frames gained Nothing special in the stage
Wily1 – 90+120 frames gained The 120 frames lost at bass battle text.In fact it is total 210 frames gained in the stage, because we should caculate frames in game action, not text.
Wily2 – 35+263 frames gained The same situation as wily1.263 frame lost at bass battle text.
Wily3 – 339 frames gained Using some new glitches in the stage.
Wily4 – 742 frames gained Most of the frames gained in cloud and Spring.
Wily5 – 519 frames gained better weapon usage.
vsmk3:
The screenshot I want to use
I think Japan version is more enrertainment than USA version.
USA version deleted the funny information when you selected stage.
And this is another example : http://vsmk3.myweb.hinet.net/RockMan7.png
It seems USA version didn't have the dialogue with Roll and Auto. (I used to use J Rom,almost never played this game with U rom so I just do some tests, not very sure)
I think the dialogue with Roll and Auto is more entertainment than Dr.Light. Too bad it's much longer than Dr.Light,so I can't show that in this movie.

adelikat: Despite the suspect version change, I am accepting this for publication to obsolete the current mega man 7 run.

Very proud to vote yes. What you two did with this run was very amazing. You showed lots of new brilliant solutions and of course, all the zipping parts... just wow. Seriously, I hope to see lots of other runs from both of you. Speaking of that, I hope you (Parrot14Green) will reconsider to work on Rockman&Forte (as Forte) because obviously you know what you are doing since we all know you're toying with the game and finding lots of new glitches and tricks.

at some point, you'd figure they'd fix those same glitches... they just keep popping up, game after game

A very much so nice run from the two of you. The levels were done to utmost perfection from what I could see. I really enjoyed the boss fights, all the stuff you threw at them made them very interesting. A defining run is yours so in return you get my yes vote. Congratulations for all your work.

Forcing the characters into the walls seems to be a habit of Rockman games... those new glitches are really fun and your work was pretty impressive... I voted yes of course...

Weak "yes". The obsoletion of a movie is nice (by 100 sec, even), as is the new abuse of glitches and the creative boss fights, but the version change to Japan put me off. A lot of the text in the game was interesting to read in the movie, and now it's just meaningless* characters. What was gained by the switch, exactly? (*to me)

Well, there is some additional text just below the Robot Masters' names. I liked the movie, and it should be published. Yes vote.

Rockman 7 may have its moments in the Japanese version, but Mega Man 7 had the cooler ending. I've nothing else to do, so I'll watch this soon and get back to you. Edit: Haha, nice trick against Freeze Man. Also very impressive boss rematch fights, and Rock ninjajumping through the walls amused me. Overall good quality run. Definite yes vote.

So you switched to the J version because...? Dialogs that can't be appreciated and extra useless information under the bosses? I thought people only changed ROMs when it was proven that time could be saved. While I can appreciate your reason for switching ROMs, I think you lose more entertainment from this, since not everyone understands the language. Being able to read what is being said was a nice little bonus in the old submission, and that is now lost. That being said, every non-action part of the run was instantly less inviting, and was therefore less entertaining by proxy. However, I know this game inside and out regardless of what language it's in, and I'm going to vote yes for this. Very entertaining use of tricks and glitches.

What, no Super Ghouls and Ghosts music? ;_; I like that better than Shade Man's normal music. As for the switch, it's fine by me. Considering nearly all the rest of the Rockman/Mega Man games are the Japanese versions... And besides, who cares about dialogue in a Rockman game? Rockman blows up robots. Dialogue is extra banter. Yes vote.

No special reason for chose Japanese version. I have mentioned I used to use J rom,so I just chose the version I am familiar with. But I don't expect gained so many seconds by version change Sorry for saying Japanese version is more entertainment than USA version. But the dialogs with Roll and Auto are really interesting. When got Crush noise Auto was sleeping when Rockman is talking And Roll said crush noise even worse than Dr. Light's Singing!(So she mean Dr.Light have terrible singing)

My partner hope can keep original music. So sorry we didn't use the music glitch. And thanks for all the vote and replies! I liked Tinister's run I am suprised he makes boss fight so entertainment. I wish I can also make bosses interesting. So all the bosses played by me. I'm glad people said it's entertainment . And all the glitches found by parrot14green. He really do excellent job. I'm very lucky make this run with him.

That was an enjoyable run, despite the text being in Japanese. And it also was tightly optimized. All in all, a well-deserved yes vote. Also, Parrot14Green, you may want to update your signature since you're already done with this run.

Frankly, it doesn't matter to me... Rockman is not a game in which texts are really important, I mean, you can see what happens without the text : Wily's back to destroy the world once more... And I'm sure most of those who have voted already know what they are saying since there are so few parts with text and since I'm sure many have already played with the US version...

I wouldn't call it a "music glitch" if it's intentionally programmed in by the game developers.

http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/3224/MegaManVII%28U%29-SkipMiniboss.smv The trick can skip the mini-boss,it seems had a wall on the ceiling. I hope someone who will find a way improved the movie.

This was an incredibly good TAS. Star material, I'd say. I'm glad I could be of help. Congratulations for finishing the run. :)

http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/3228/%21RM7.smv I managed to splice in the miniboss skip, but I get stuck in the ceiling. If you can figure out how to get out, I'll try to copy-paste the rest of your movie (this is only from the beginning up to that point)
