So let's take a vote: All in favor of referring to the Game Boy series as GBx, post in this thread. All in favor of referring to the Game Boy series based on random and irrelevantly useless codes devised in some dusty backwater programming room, post somewhere else.
Zurreco, votes are like court trials in that majority is correct, if I learned anything today.
so yeah I vote GB is the better and more fitting abbreviation to be used when referring to GameBoy games.

Not only that, but DMG is misleading. It's win-win to use GBx instead.
