As far as I remember it is 40 votes to be a member and then 100 to get active member.
Above that is player, however, I'm unsure of what constitutes that status. I always thought you became a player after having your first movie published, this I noticed with comicalflop's status. Then again, AKA had his SM64 run published and is still an active member so I really don't know.

you ask Bisqwit to change your status. I thought it was once you get a movie published as well, but that's not the case. Just send a PM and he'll change it for you.
Sometimes, Bisqwit changes it for you automatically. Sometimes not. I had my status changed and didn't realize it for a while.
Edit:
Mukki, I'm sure you meant 40 posts, but I'm pointing it out just in case new users become confused.

it doesn't take too long to get 40 posts... assuming just 2 posts per day, which is easy enough, that's only 3 weeks...
and if you're a lurker/newbie, you can simply post in the forum saying you'd vote yes, it gets the message accross because the statistics are not the only things looked at.
but meh it's moot.
Maybe votes should be based on a length of time after registering. It would discourage spam. It would also stop penalizing those who don't post thirty times a day just for the hell of it.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that the hurdle is 17 posts. So no reason for spamming.
Btw: Nice run, nice new camera angles. It's really not easy to make this run a totally new one.
Btw2: It's a pure guess, but I bet AKA is already working on an improvement. And I hope I'm not wrong...

I'm sure those two posts about post limit don't in any way refer to me ^-^
haha wow this game is going to be as competed as Super Mario Bros. 2, I remember back in the day with spezzafer's run no one would touch it because everyone assumed it was as perfect as can be. I think everyone was simply scared of making N64 TASes, with all the wide options that 360 degree direction can give.
I always wonder in competed games how time can be gained in so and so section, but the 6 seconds were noticable.
Has anyone else noticed that the console name for N64 runs is listed as "Mupen64" instead of "Nintendo 64"? It could be intentional, but I wouldn't normally call an emulator a console.
I don't see anything wrong with using "Super Mario 64.m64" either.

I was under the impression that all voting priveleges for new users here are granted manually, not automatically based on post count. But I'm only guessing, like everyone else seems to be.
EDIT: comicalflop is almost at 1000 posts already? I wonder if anyone has more posts per day than that. Sorry this is so off-topic but I found it surprising.

it's quite easy for newly registered members to get a higher ppd count since they've been here so short.

Fixed, thanks for reporting.

Fixed, thanks for reporting. "Player" title is only granted for players who have had a movie published on this site, but it doesn't happen automatically; it needs someone's manual attention.

It's not title-related currently. I change it every once in a while though.

Not that it actually matters, but may as well conform to the naming scheme in place for this site.
Rikku-sm64.m64 or something like that would work. But if it doesnt matter to you rikku, I dont care either.

I did of course mean to say posts and not votes.
I stick by my usual excuse; it was late, I was tired and I had recently returned from the land of desync so I was in an impatient and emotional mood.
Yes vote naturally... it just perturbs me that somehow AKA's run was published so quickly while this gets wrapped up in 'red tape'; is an improvement any less worthy of the treatment AKA's run got? Just wondering...

I feel kinda bad for the amount of work AKA did, only to have the record for a week or so. Still, this diserves to be published, and I think everyone here knows it.
Them the breaks though. I think I saw most of the improvement in WF B1 and B3. Some good decisions allowed Rukki to skip a few unneeded movements I think.
A little light on the entertainment but voting yes for the improvement to an existing run.
おめでとうRikku! (assuming your native tongue is 日本語)
This signature is much better than its previous version.
Fantastic work. I love M64 runs they are the most entertaining to watch! How come AKA has been so silent on this thread? Probably trying to get his record back! I hope so.
Something strange I noticed. The entrance puddle to Hazy Cave Maze was all black instead of it's usual metallic silver. Whats the deal with that? Some kind of rom difference?
*is a lurker*
saw the different tecniques from the last video, nice improvement
i wasnt a big fan of the camera angles personally though...esp in bowser stages
