Anybody mind if I try a run of this? I've always wanted to see a TAS of it, and the current progress seems kind of nonexistent. Obviously it would be a full run of 00 Agent with the fastest possible times. If there's enough support for it (seems like there was for the old run), I'll do it.

Continue from my run in that case since it's already optimized. And just so you know the problem is still Cold Reception, it's COMPLETELY impossible to aim your shots. I'd almost suggest a no-frame-advance run for that level.

if that pausing thing also saves time on TAS, you should note that it does in the description when submitted, but that it isn't used because it takes away the entertainment. unless you plan to use it lol

Well since pause trick saves time on all levels it would be wierd to start using it in the middle of the run, though it'd be wierd to use it at all too. So yeah, don't use it.

OMG an update. I was able to figure out a way to do this level anyways. By utilizing auto aim instead of normal aiming. I actually did all the way up to the first body armour. Figured i did it pretty well too since i pressed C-up every other frame all the time and got some nice explosions and kills on the way. BUt of course, The game wouldn't let me beat it that easily, So instead i get a desynch in the very beginning of the level... I was actually planning on finishing both this level and nightwatch but i just lost my motivation of redoing this again.

Ok, ignore my last post :P I've redone up until the first fuel dump. I'll definately finish the level just not sure how long it's gonna take. Edit: Almost at the second fuel dump now, i estimate this level will be done in 3-4 days. Another Edit: Second fuel dump = Dumped Encountered a problem though...i made some backup copies of my m64 file and i've used those instead of the original file, This was never a problem before since it's simple to just replace the original file with the copy but in this case that seems to be impossible becouse the copies only exist within mupen?? I.e i can't actually do anything with the file except use it myself. Anyone know a solution to this?

bump. (Why doesn't edits put the topic on top of the boards?)

Because it's an edit, not a new post. Also, bumping topics that are on the first page (This was almost at the top if I recall correctly) is pretty pointless. If people are interested in this topic, they'll surely scan the page with their eyes to find it and move their cursors a bit to open it.

People who are interrested in the topic probably remember the last person who posted, and if the same name remains as last poster and topic is a bit down the page then you obviously believe there's nothing new there.

The problem is that if edits bumped a topic you wouldn't know which post was edited, it could be post 1 or post 256 or whatever.

if you really, really wanted edits to be at the top, you can copy the entire message, delete your last post, then make a new post with the original message pasted in, and write in edit at the end. That's only if your desire for it to be at the top is greater than say, the universal need for Krispy Kreme Donuts.

you wouldn't know that no matter if it bumped the topic or not

Pretty much done with CR now. Managed to finish the level at a time of 2:15(2 seconds better than wr), and considering this is a very hard level to gain any time on, i'm pretty happy about the time. However, i got some desynchs on the last 2 kills which i'm gonna redo otherwise it's onto nightwatch i guess. Still not sure how to post a .m64 though? The file is totally non-existent outside of mupen. I can still do an .avi but i assume that sooner or later i'm gonna need the .m64.

Ok so CR is officially done. Still no suggestions on how to fix the m64 problem? cause obviously i wont be able to post any WIP's until i've found a solution? Oh well, I'll start off with nightwatch now anyway, Which is the level i've been looking forward to the most to TAS.

What did you name it? For example if you named it "abcdef" try searching My Computer for "abcdef"

All i can find is shortcuts to the missing files in the recent files folder that however, just leads to the original file.

Wait, if the shortcuts lead to the file then you know where it is, right?

Okay perhaps i didn't describe the problem well, when i'm not runnign mupen, i have one folder where i have my orginal TWINE.m64 file, However, if i open up the rom in mupen and click on play movie or whatever the name is, I obviously open the folder with my m64's right(where previously there were only the twine.m64 file. Now the problem is, that when i open the folder from within mupen, i can see all the copies of the file and new folders that i've previously made while inside mupen(I.e i made the copies while browsing my m64's after pressing play movie file). So the problem is that i know exactly where my files are, it's just that i can only use/see them when i browse them from within mupen. If i for example start mupen, then go to the folder where the files are, they are not there.

I tried making copies of movies while in Mupen and they still showed up in the movie folder when I exited out of Mupen, so I'm out of ideas.
