Is only the Japanese version released? I have DS, and got summerjob money today. But is everything in the game in Japanese? I mean, can I enjoy playing Japanese version if I don't know a single word in Japanese? Also is it anything like Mega Man Zero games?

An English version should be out in September, I think. It'sa fully voiced game.. I don't know if the English version will cut out the voices or redub them in English or what. But I always buy Inti games in Japanese (and the vice actig has been removed from RMZ games in the past).

It was made by the same team. RMZ Zero is an unlockable secret character.
someone is out there who will like you. take off your mask so they can find you faster. I support the new Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun.

Luckily, that's not even a remote possibility for anyone!

I've been having a blast playing through the GBA Castlevanias, they're great. Definitely going to get Dawn of Sorrow and that new one looks fantastic too. Just got Ouendan and the Japanese version of Brain Age on eBay. I can't believe I love video games again!

No kidding! I laughed at the people who lined up to buy the Xbox 360 & PS3 for $400+ and I hadn't touched my Gamecube or PS2 in ages. Now I'm giving serious consideration to investing in the Wii. I just hope that some 2D hotness makes it onto the Wii. These handheld Castlevanias are awesome but they are not as good as Symphony of the Night on Playstation.

I bought a DS Lite and I'mnot disappointed at all... Many of the games are really interesting and addictive... So far I've only got 5 games : - Castlevania Dawn Of Sorrow - New Super Mario Bros - Sonic Rush - Metroid Prime Hunters - Megaman ZX The latter is really good though it doesn't really use the pencil thing... maybe because I'm a megaman fan... Also there are some accessories that allows you to watch movies, play music, play GBA and even NDS roms... NB : you an play NDS and have a gym licence... In my opinion it's more affordable than the PSP and with the proper accessories it offers the almost the same features... The NDS is more innovative than the PSP so I think it's a better choice... and most of the polls of the net will tell you the same...

NSMB is a great game to speedrun, the controls feel so much tighter than the older games. Did anyone get Super Mario 64 DS? It just isn't the same; Yoshi, Wario and Luigi just don't belong in this adventure.

As i've read in gamefaqs boards, most people who have played the Mario 64 DS before having contact with the original, feel that the original is bad for lacking many features. It may be a matter of taste. I personally liked the DS version very much, the only bad thing about it is the controls.. If a version of that game is released for Wii's virtual console it'll be perfect (so we're able to use analog control on the classic controller or gamecube).

Or you could point where you want Mario to go with the remote, too! Maybe...

I got a DS lite about a month ago, and only have two games so far: New Super Mario Bros. and Mario Kart DS. I'm still working on getting triple-star on NSMB because i've been distracted by MKDS. I've pretty much obliterated the single player game of MKDS, i.e. triple star everything, from grand prix to missions and awesome time trial times. I'm gonna start dominating the WIFI here soon. In summary, I like my DS.

I bought a PSP some time ago because I got a *really* good bargain (89 euros for the value pack instead of the regular 230 euros or so). I was a bit skeptical about whether I would play it much or not, but it results that it is quite addictive to play with it. I did not only buy Tales of Eternia almost immediately (good game), but it results that other types of games are quite addictive too. Ridge Racer (which I got with the value pack as an added bonus) is cool, but I have later also bought Mercury (cool idea) and Everybody's Golf (really addictive). I also have Wipeout Pure.

Mario Kart: DS is easy on Wifi so far. I've been playing for two days and only found two people who have beaten me, and neither of them beat me by much. Is there a way to find harder people to play, or do you have to just get lucky? Anyway, my friend code is: 515477 123542 If anyone wants to get dominated, feel free to add me.

Has anybody else noticed that the old-style wall-jumping (glitch) from the early Mario games is still possible in NSMB? It would be funny to see someone ignore the intentional wall-jump move to save time by jumping straight up at a wall.

The walls probably aren't constituted of small blocks anymore. It must be just a straight continuous line.

I said "is" possible, not "is not" possible. I was trying to wall-jump from a wall on the left side of the screen and accidentally did a double-jump instead.

Indeed, not only its it there, its also easier to do than before I'd say. I've done it at least 15 times in nsmb, as opposed to never in the originals. Hell, its saved me from falling down a pit and dying. Somehow though I dont think it'd be possible to do it consecutive times, which is where it's main use would come from I'd think (although would it even prove useful at some parts? you'd lose speed that you would've kept from otherwise walljumping).

I think its main use would be in places where you would need to wall-jump 2 or more times. You could substitute the first one (or every other one?) with a double-jump, which gets you immediately ready to do another wall-jump from the same wall.

hmm, that is a good point. still, if the speed required to double jump isn't that high and is possible to obtain from another double jump from the first, then it'd be extremely handy in some stages where there's quite a lot of vertical areas to scale (one in particular comes to mind, but I dont know if it'd be possible to double jump up the spike shaft without losing it and dying). Still, I suppose it wont be possible to test until an emulator can even actually play the game, let alone frame advance and other such lovely things.

BUMP to hype new Castlevania game - mad fun and the two-character gameplay is very interesting. Music is pretty solid so far and the map seems really big because of all these sub-worlds to explore.
