That would require Bisqwit giving someone at least partial control over the funds the site generates.

Umm, wouldn't it still be better to give a trusted person some control over the funds than to have no funds at tall?

To me, it seems like a hassle, an all too easy way to generate bad blood, and a needless obfuscation. This is just me though.

That would be an idea worth considering.

There aren't any ads because Google took away Bisqwit's account, and they were on the main site.

Yahoo ads
My first perception is that those are much worse targeted than Google ads. Yahoo offers mortgage and credit advertisements every once in a while (I get enough spam of those, thank you), adsense didn't do those.

Yea, I told you they weren't as well targeted. Here's hoping that: A. The initial bad targeting was due to pages not being crawled yet. B. If that isn't true, Yahoo continues to improve the service.

Badrad... are you really saying that Yahoo didn't already have an index of Bisqwit's page? Because I find that hard to believe.

I am sure they had an index of many pages - but every subpage? Maybe not. Even if they had it completely crawled, they may not have been analyzed for contextual advertising yet. That may be a two step process - step one, crawl and index the page; step two analyze for contextual ads - who knows? I was just being optimistic about it. Better targeted ads = more clicks. Furthermore, YPN is currently in private beta. It's not as widely available as adsense. That probably means there are lest advertiser, which means that Yahoo would be less able to deliver a properly targeted ad. Overall, I think that Yahoo targeting will probably improve overtime. My 2 cents.

Is it just me or are some of the NES ads on the front page of the site entirely irrelevant to the context? They refer to NES hotels and not the NES console. I looked into this a little bit but can't really find much; they refer to the NES hotel in Amsterdam and also lead to some hotels with names beginning with NE (as in North East).

They bring funds to Bisqwit, so they're good. I don't mind about them.

It's Nes, not NES. Nes is a place in the Netherlands.
