Very good. BUT WHY ARE YOU NOT HONKING TO TAUNT?! hehe, you don't have to honk if you don't want, but it's kinda funny and wastes no time.

Amazing work! I don't know ho much you're planning on doing/unlocking, but every bit you do amazes me. Great job!

Technically to reach Wizpig 2 you gotta do everything but unlock the hidden chars and do the space trophy race so he should be doing mostly everything.

Right, but to unlock TT, don't you have to beat all the times in time trial? Even if you copy-pasta'd the hex, i'd still watch it, lol.

But it would be different, because there would be no balloons.

Just finished watching the WIP, and I am really impressed with the progress that's been made. I remember playing this as a kid and finding it really hard. I finally beat the first boss, only to have him tell me that I needed to race all four courses again, and win too. Of course I was something like twelve then too. Having watched the SDA speedrun, which is pretty impressive in and of itself (it has the same goals as yours) I have to say that I'm really looking forward to seeing the next few levels. I was wondering, though, can't you honk your horn to make the wizard warp over to you? It's been a long time since I played.

Only if you're really close to him or if you honk on the image of him on the grass.

I have deprioritized this project in favour of other personal activities and as such, I have only done the first two races of Dragon World so far but nonetheless, I predict this will be finished in approximately three weeks from now. As of now I have completed 50 races with 23 to go. Here is up to the start of boulder canyon. You may notice that I only press A once during the whole of windmill plains. I found that mildly amusing.

Keep up the great work, this is my favorite project to follow, even though I know it has to be on the back burner I can't wait to see it finished =)

Finished watching the WIP, I noticed a considerable difference in play style on the last few courses in the dragon area, most notably the second dragon race, in that you no longer bumped into the walls when doing barrel rolls through the tunnels. The race generally seemed much smoother, but was it faster than bumping into the walls?

Perhaps the fireballs prevented him from flying like that in the second race? I haven't watched the whole WIP but so far it looks pretty good, I like the use of boosts in Boulder Canyon.

The two dragon races had near identical times. That's not to say they were both optimised but I thought I would do something different second time around. Sorry for the lack of progress but I will finish this... eventually. Only two tracks plus the ever so interesting credits this time. One of the tracks was Wizpig which I worked slightly harder on for good optimisation. State / Run

How's the run coming along? I skipped a few WIPs so I could see the whole thing at once now. Gj so far (watched up to snow).

I recently completed darkmoon caverns non silver coin after a long break. I guess I just lost the motivation to run this game even though there are only seven tracks left now. I don't seem to have as much free time nowadays although I suppose if people really wanted to see this run completed soon I could make time for it. Here is the run up to date and here is a savestate at the start of the spaceland.

I'm not entirely impressed by this run, I see quite a few delays. o-o You know if you hit Plane and Hover speed boosts on the very outside edges there is no delay when firing off right? Some of those delays look like they could be taking upwards of a second...I noticed sometimes you miss speed balloons. I don't know how avoidable this is, but it's just weird when you get a speed balloon one lap and don't get it the next. Granted above all of this I think this beats any console run I've ever done of this game, so it definitely looks like a fun run. Keep going you're half way done! :)

I think it looks pretty good so far. It should be a felony to get this close and not finish though.

Hi, I don't see this input listed in the drop down box. How do I get that plugin?

Run complete. Final time - 2:03:02.08 28359 rerecords. Edit: Oh yes, and thank you to all who posted with their comments and encouragements throughout this thread. This run would not have been completed without them.

nice work on finishing this. tho, no savestate this time? good thing I haven't watched the previous wip yet, so I'll watch this one instead, with that state. I'll just hope nothing has been changed in the previous part :p

I've checked out some of the progress of the TAS and it's real good. I haven't played this game in like 10 years so it was a nice treat to see it completed with expertise. I'll check out more of it when I can.
