By "killing" I meant "fighting"...

oh, wow, i was just joking about the phantom fight. as cool as the ultimate foot chip is, there is no way that you can save time by getting it. Just go pure rankless speed.

Yup, that was nice. Too bad i didn't think about recoil-jumpig off fishes so i wouldn't need to walljump in inarabitta's stage :( Nice work fellah. :) I didn't see any major errors.

albeit a little late, and perhaps a bad idea even, but for the stages of which you want the EX skills, did you consider using an/some A rank elf/s (though you probably have to go out of the way to get them, its been a while since I played)?

Well, you know, i do not use elves for many reasons, first you have to look out for the A rnk one you're talking about and it shall disrupt my boss order, secondly i do not like cyber elves, thirdly i don't think i lose too much time killing some enemies to raise my rank in the first few levels... but thx for the suggestion :)

Do you think you should start from SRAM to skip the cut scenes?

Way to be 4 years late. You might want to check computerbird's run, since that's the most recent version.

I wonder, it's worthy enough to do a 100% Run? 100% in this game stands for collecting every Disk in the game, so you will get every Cyber-Elf in the way, the route may be the same as the Any%. I may use Clokkle (Same effect as Quick Charge Head Chip) wich is in Blazin's Stage, i can equip it by giving some Crystals, i may also use Sabras (Gives +1 damage to Saber attacks), though, i haven't tested if it works with every saber attack. Any opinions? Feedbacks?

Heh, expected answer from AngerFist ^_^. Anyway, i did some test with Sabras, and i don't see any change, i only found Effective Ex-Skills slash to get +1 damage, wich is unworthy IMO. I did this:

I'm not sure a 100% would be different enough from the current run (same route and all) to warrant publication. What about the other cyber-elves? Are there any which increase Zero's speed (dash/climb/etc.) which can be leveled up efficiently enough to warrant using?

Well, the route will be a bit different, there is one cyber elf that increases climbing speed (leadders), not sure if it's better to use them, Clokkle allows Quick Charge in the first set of bosses. Im still doing a playthrough with the help of a guide, sadly enough, i don't know if the third set of bosses route will be different.

Just a question, would 100% also means that i should also get all the Ex-Skills?

I would think so, yes. They're "collectibles" that you can get over the course of the game, after all. They'd also make the boss fights different from the any% run, since the bosses would be in their A/S-rank modes.

That assumes that the bosses aren't killed just as fast as the any% (current) TAS, which already uses many of the EX skills. And I just rewatched the current TAS; Zero maintains an "A" rank throughout. (Getting "S" twice early on) So, actually, no, the boss fights wouldn't be much different, unless radical new strategies are created. Ironically, if we expect all twelve EX skills to be obtained, that means cyber-elf usage will need to be carefully considered, as fusion elves carry a permanent score penalty. (Satellite elves do not.) And if rank drop below A/S, then the EX skill of that boss cannot be obtained, making 100% impossible.

I won't fuse any elves, doing so cost 300 frames, i will use satellite instead, the sad point of this is that i would need to get E-Crystals, hopefully some of the disks have E-Crystals. This is also sad for the Any%, since getting Clokkle is faster, though gettting 200 E-Crystals before Childre/Mantisk Midboss is godamn hard, and probably not possible, since the only thing that affects RNG is killing time, making it realy hard to manipulate. If anyone knows a better way, please say it.

Ok, i finished the intro stage a few days ago, i couldn't upload an encode since i was on vacation, so here they are: Movie Encode You can kill those ShotCounters using the Z-Buster, you have to charge it and shot on a key frame, hence why i sabered some enemies to get the Buster charging. Give me your opinion if this should be published or not, until some people say it should be published i won't continue on it, since it's hard to TAS this.

Well, I enjoyed it, but so far it just looks like the standard run with detours. I think whether or not this will be publishable really comes down to how different it will be from the any% run. Still, nice work! Thanks for making it.

Well, the route may be a little different, not realy much sure yet, i also will use different strategies here and there, like for example i will use the Recoil Rod a lot in Deathtanz, and a little in Hellbat, i also have to do some tests, i think i can use the Boomerang without the Ex-Skill and still do the same damage. EDIT: I think i should do some more stages, so you guys could tell me if it looks promising or not.

About the Progress: I have reached Devilbat Schilt like 3 days ago, but for some reason i can't manipulate him to shoot bats 3 times without teleporting, apparently, shooting before the boss and walljumping manipulates the bosses, the WIP should be finished in some days.

Movie Finished Devilbat Schilt, i tried to make him use his other move (thunder balls shooting) and then manipulating him to throw bats without teleporting, saving like 84 frames on the boss alone (comparing to computerbird TAS). Anyway, i will do an encode when i finish Blazin' Flizzard. EDIT: After some planning, i figured out that i don't need the 100 E-Crystals Disk, since in the way there are 8 big capsules of E-Crystals, each one giving me 12 :). As for the Any%, there are only 3, but i THINK, that i can get some good amounts in the Midboss of Blazin' Flizzard, since i think i can manipulate drops by walljumping. The main objective is to give 200 E-Crystals to Clokkle before the third stage midboss wich will be Childre, though, im not counting enemy drops, wich can also help.

Blazin' Flizzard finished, 140 E-Crystals for the momment, i doubt there will be problems using Clokkle ontime. Movie Encode Any Opinions? Please.
