So Bisqwit, are you goning to use that in your run?
Most definitely. But it needs to be planned a bit because the number of beams available/to-be-used changes quite significantly.

Clone robot's room is the last room of the chain that starts from the beginning of the Iceman stage. Attempting to cross that wall will lead to mayhem and nasal demons. In other words, I don't know, but it can't be anything good :P

Yes. Yes it is... Wow. The elecbeam consumption seems to be a bit high, but still. Finalfighter had better not find anything spectacular like this in the Elecman level.

Telling you folks now, Finalfighter (and of course Bisqwit) is completely from a different planet. Have you ever seen anybody else coming up with these tricks? NO!

I think atleast Bisqwit starred in "The matrix" as he obviously sees everything as code. :)

Congratulations Finalfighter! You discovered (AGAIN) something I didn't even think of. It's a simple application of overflowing the beam to the next screen. The clues have been there (you can see it happening in my Cutman stage), but I never realized to think of this kind of application. You are awesome. m(_ _)m This solves one long time bother of the game. This earns you a new rank :) 忍者師? 忍者名人? 上忍? Ps: As for your Gutsman idea... I think I will reject it. It doesn't seem to be worth it, because it can't take advantage of the zipping in the upstairs (before the wall).

[img_right]http://bisqwit.iki.fi/kala/snap/mmluckluck.png[/img_right]WIP updated. - It's 331 frames faster compared to the Tuesday's WIP: --- 179 frames gained in Bombman stage (+180 in stage, +3 in tunnel, -4 in boss) --- 22 frames gained in Cutman stage (+12 in stage, +10 in tunnel) --- 16 frames gained in Iceman stage (+20 in stage, -4 in tunnel) --- 114 frames gained in Wily1 stage (hard to pinpoint but most of it comes from the spike room) The Bombman and Cutman stage improvements consist majorly of faster luck manipulation, but other precision improvements were done as well. The Iceman improvement consists almost entirely of better precision. Currently redoing the Wily2 stage. It is very enjoyable. I also got better luck this time. The refills are collected with almost no delay. (Note: Screenshot was taken after I posted this, I'm trying 3 refills now.)

Ok.. I coulden't resist the temption of watching this WIP. :D I thought of a thing.. In elecman's level. Right before the boss as you are climbing upwards, you pause in order to not get killed right? Why don't you change weapon there instead of pausing an extra time after elecman spawns? Perhaps you could save some frames there?

Weapons can't be changed while the shots (in this case, magnet beams) are on screen.

Fun for fans... a GIF animation of some lucky maneuvering in Wily2. http://bisqwit.iki.fi/kala/snap/mm-wily2luck.gif (50 kB) Note: Apparent touching the spikes without dying is enabled by Rockman being physically in the next screen (due to wrapping phenomenon) despite showing in the left edge of the current screen.

Why doesn't the energy meter show in the gif?

As usually, I removed the energy meter and the score to make the GIF smaller (less motion).

I don't know because I didn't make a version with the bars not removed, but if I had to guess, I'd say 10-20 kB.

Those numbers really sounds like alot. I would have guessed between 4-10kb perhaps. But then again. It was a long time since I last made a gif animation.
