Welcome to TASVideos! I regret to inform you that this run is noticeably slower than the RTA world record of 5:02.685 for the equivalent category:
https://www.speedrun.com/smb1/runs/yd2x27qm. Not only that, the inputs appear to prematurely end at the completion of 8-3 (did you upload an unfinished version by mistake?). The movie also contains obvious mistakes and suboptimal movement for a heavily optimised game such as this one. Frame-precise inputs are the expectation for this game. Another thing to note is that the SMB1 speedrunning community
no longer approves FCEUX for submissions due to the default settings being deemed not accurate enough for high-level runs. BizHawk's NESHawk core is more appropriate for TASing this game (or NES games in general).
I would recommend using the
Userfiles to host work-in-progress movies, if that was the original intention here.
However, don't let this discourage you! TASing takes time to do well. Find a game you're passionate about and don't mind sinking some time into. Do some routing to find the best path. Try optimising your inputs in the input editor. Look into the game's memory usage and code itself if you think it helps. Share your progress with others and collaborate. You'll find that it's a lot of fun.
