If anyone wants to do this game, I found a glitch to allow you to beat Wily 2 a lot faster. http://nsrt.edgeemu.com/mm3-glitch.rar

Heh, I was thinking of doing this after Megger Man 4IV... Wait, so what's the glitch in this video? Just standing on the other side so the bouncy balls don't get in your way as much?

The glitch is I find a time when you can slide right through him, since you normally get hurt when touching him. And yes, now the cannon balls don't get in your way half as much, and you always have a pretty clear shot without getting hit yourself, no need to run back and forth.

Well watch this and calculate it: http://nsrt.edgeemu.com/mm3-wily2.rar You can optimize that of course with rerecording and all, but don't you think it's signifigantly faster if you much more often have a clear shot and don't have to run around so much?

Well, I started making the movie of this game because Nach really wanted to see it. I had just been posting about it on IRC, but I figured I would get more helpful input with a whole topic for it. Here's what I've got so far: http://www.filespace.org/BagOfMagicFood/Rockman_World_3_J.vbm I finished the first 5 levels, but it will take a while to decide what to do in the next 4.

How do you deal with the final wily machine? I don't quite understand the strategy on the gamesfaq.com about it. When I shoot the top cockpit, my PU is kicked out. Does it mean no damage?

If you're damaging it, you see Wily's energy goes down. You must hit Wily with the screw crusher, and you have to make sure it's not deflected by his shots. If my videos are still up (I don't remember), you can try watching them for inspiration.

Okay, I finished DustMan and SkullMan! http://www.filespace.org/BagOfMagicFood/Rockman_World_3_J.vbm Once I'm sure there are no real flaws, I'll move on to DiveMan.

Okay. http://www.filespace.org/BagOfMagicFood/Rockman_World_3_J.vbm That should be what I have up to beating DiveMan. I've got it well-polished up to the last half of that rising, lowering water part near the end. Then it gets a little messy, mainly because of those spiked bombs that I can't avoid. I tried using Rush Jet to fly over it, but that always just seems to add to the lag and make me come out behind. If anyone can help shave some time off there, I'll give you lots of credit for it! Also, that battle with DiveMan probably isn't final. I'll want to fiddle with the timing of jumps and the use of the Skull Barrier as well as where best to lure DiveMan at the end for the earliest power jump.

I just redid the DiveMan battle well enough to save 35 frames. http://www.filespace.org/BagOfMagicFood/Rockman_World_3_J.vbm Do you think it's good enough to continue on now?

Looks good so far, nice optimized health energy / get hit to gain speed. Except I didn't see the Dive Man fight, movie ended when you enter his room.

I beat DrillMan! http://www.filespace.org/BagOfMagicFood/Rockman_World_3_J.vbm I actually redid DustMan, SkullMan, and DiveMan as well to correct some minor mistakes, so you'll only be able to load savestates from before DustMan.

Okay, I think this'll be the final Punk fight unless someone thinks of a better strategy. http://www.filespace.org/BagOfMagicFood/Rockman_World_3_J.vbm

It looks good. I noticed you shot a couple of Hammer Joes in Wily's level. Was it faster then just sliding into them?
