Or Maybe skip buying the weapons to Hahn and set up a new Macro like Alys: Vortex or Gryz's Crash Hahn: Wat Chaz: Fight Gryz: Fight I dont know but maybe you should lvlng up some in the cave more when you are having Rune. Try to get into some more fights. The Enemies in the fights can alos be choosen with luck. Everything is going to be so much easier when you reach Alys lvl 8(Zan) and Chaz's lvl 6(Crosscut).

I am also getting a desynch at the same place as the others. I am using a 3 button configuration and am using the same ROM. I'm also using Gens test version 9c. Perhaps you could post the emu you are using to record this movie? That's the only thing I can think of that could be different. Or perhaps some playback settings are odd. Thanks.

I had the same desynchs as the others, but enabling Perfect Synchro seemed to fix that problem. Maybe it'll fix it for you as well..

Good thought. I actually tried it earlier today with Gens version test 9 and it worked. My guess is that that's the version Sleepz is recording with. :)

Huh? I thought that function only had an effect when playing Sega CDs. And I remember Jyzero saying so too. If it's the difference between desynch or not that's really weird.

I'm using Gens test 9c, 3 buttons, rom: Phantasy Star - The End of the Millenium (U) [!].bin . Don't know what else might cause desync. Replaying from a savestate does work as long as you have read-only checked. If unchecked, then the movie re-records from the savestate instead, which is how my work got erased last time.

Ok, the movie works now. My bad, I didn't have Gens test 9c. Looks good so far, though I wish you didn't just stop at Grandfather Dorin, that's one of my favorite parts of the game. :>

http://members.shaw.ca/richu/PS4.zip I had to make some major changes with leveling because Juza kept killing me. There are twice as many Newt fights now and then Meta Slug fights in the passageway. I also let the other characters die so the exp goes to Chaz and Rika. Then, had to redo a second time because I remembered buying a telepipe would save the long walk back to Zema. Just note, it desyncs during the fight with Juza and he wins. This is the first time my own recording desync on me during playback. Anyone figure out what’s causing this?

Looks great, but it's odd that the movie would desynch for YOU. Hmm. Try re-doing the fight perhaps? I hope this isn't something that will happen often. The leveling seems smooth, how many Sandworms do you plan on tackling? Also, is the Sandworm in Mile (First Hunter's Guild quest) worth doing, because I seem to remember that particular Sandworm giving much more EXP than normal ones.. but the time spent getting the quest, going to Mile, and beating it, may not be worth it...

Hehe.. told you that you should lvling some more when you had Rune :) I noticed one thing in the cave. Why did you let Hahn miss with his blade? :P

No idea, this has happend to a lots of times for me. Thereforce you should check your recordings once in a while. Otherwise this was awesome. Keep it up. Soon Alys will be out of the way :)

Looks great Sleepz! Just a question: Isn't there another item in Zio's Fortress that is really important? Maybe a sword for Chaz or something? I seem to remember it being down one of the holes or something. Perhaps you're intentionally skipping it, but I just want to make sure.

The Items you have in Zios fort is: 2000 Mesata, Moon-Dew, Lasr-Sword, Dimate, LasrBarrir and a Lasr-Claw and the things that I thinks is worth picking up is the Sword and the Claw. The Claw is next to Juva(The monk in Zios fort) so that is will be easy to pick up. The sword is a little bit further away and that would take a little while to take. But... the next place there you can buy "good" weapons is in the town "Tyler" which is the first town on the snow planet Dezolis. Maybe you dont need it sience you can stop for a frame and then countinue to avoid enemies.

Was it Hahn or Chaz? I let Chaz miss on the last fight so the slug gets the chance to kill Hahn. In Zio's Fort, the LSword is very off course, so I only get the claw. I already picked up a decent sword for Chaz in Bio-plant. I will try to get all the good stuff in the dungeons instead of buying them.

Sounds great.. :) Are you planning to get Demi's Phononmezer? I could be worth while exping and sience it is a strong attack all weapon.

As I recall, the Phononmezer is in an optional dungeon that's a bit out of the way, and doesn't really do enough damage to justify getting, especially since at the levels Sleepz will likely be at when he fights Zio, Demi may still only have one use of it. Unless he's planning to go into the dungeon for other reasons (leveling perhaps, but that would better be done on Sandworms I think) getting the Phononmezer may not be a good idea. Where Demi is not one of the permanent party members, it should probably be skipped. Wren's upgrades, on the other hand, would be worth looking into. But we're not that far yet. ;)

True.. But the Phononmezer is in the wreckage nearby Nalya just before you entering the tower if a dont recall wrong. As I also was thinking was that Demi's Phononmezer and Chaz Airslash will make a special combo, Silent wave. Witch could be good when fighting many enemies. But that was just a though. :)

In a normal playthrough, yes, Phononmezer is very useful. But the fact does remain that the dungeon it is stored in is optional. If Sleepz is actually going there, then sure, pick it up. But really, unless that combo with Chaz would be effective against Zio (which, by all rights, would be the only point of getting anything for Demi since she leaves immediately after) then it would be best to skip it. More than likely, Demi will only have one use of Phononmezer, that means the only two places it would realisticially come in handy would be the battle at the top of Ladea Tower, and against Zio. It could be used against Sandworms, but it would only have one use before you would have to go to an Inn to recharge it. Both the boss of the Ladea Tower and Zio are just one enemy each, and while the Phononmezer is great for groups, the damage against a single target is only slightly above average, compared to things like Crosscut and DoubleSlash. Only if Sleepz is planning on going to that base near Nayla anyway, or if the Silent Wave combo when used against Zio can somehow drastically reduce the battle time, it would probably be best to skip it. The only other point to consider would be if Sleepz is planning on taking Demi at the end of the game. In a normal playthrough Raja is the best choice, but Demi's greater offense might be handy in a TAS. If THAT is the case, then getting the Phononmezer would be worth it, since she would have considerably more uses of it by then.

isn't holy cross (chaz+raja) just too powerful at end of game to not have raja?

I thought it was Grand Cross, made using Rune's Efess and Chaz's Crosscut.
