This is a TAS of New Super Mario Land, which is a homebrew of Super Mario Land for the Super Nintendo. Unfortunately, the creator of the game is anonymous. The game had enhanced graphics that looks like New Super Mario Bros DS, and 4P features and the tricks for the said game (except ground pounding) are imported.
Objectives
Save Daisy.
Get through the game as fast as possible.
I used Snes9x v1.60, the latest version I know.
I feel like this TAS is dead!
FAQ
Why does my movie desync?
You have the wrong emulator version, or the wrong game version. More info can be found here.
Why did you barely kill any enemies on the submarine levels?
Some people may not noticed but I got every single coin on the first submarine level.
Is this a ROM hack?
No, but a homebrew exclusive game made by an anonymous user.
Maru: Okay, so it looks like this homebrew is a decent programming feat, and provided that it meets certain qualifications, it would be eligible for the Vault tier. In terms of notability, this homebrew was only recently released and did receive some praise in gaming news articles. That is not bad by any means, but I think more time may be needed to have a definitive answer to this question. Usually, we give the benefit of the doubt in terms of notability, but this game does not yet compare in notability to some of the unlicensed games featured on TASVideos that have been sold in certain markets in certain countries.
While some people in the thread talked about this being a cosmetic hack, keep in mind that this is technically not a hack, so there are no issues here. Audience feedback was not spectacular for this run though. Entertainment was not solid enough for Moons tier, and the optimization also has room for improvement. On top of the information provided in the thread, keep in mind that this game has powerups to speed up certain areas as well. It is important to have a solid understanding of the game that you are TASing, and it's not ideal to rush to complete a TAS either.
Rejecting due to optimization, but if that is cleaned up, I can see a TAS of this game being accepted in the future.

It was pointed out by several users.
Stop making crap up.
Stop editing the submission with nonsensical information.
If you're aware that it's suboptimal do Pancake the favour and tell him to cancel the damn movie.
No one gives a shit about this user Chutacoacko. You're brining up irrelevant people that have no relation to TASVideos or no actual impact.
And I'm going to bring out the private message you just gave to me cause it's related.
You don't get it do you?
I'm blaming you, specifically you for making excuses in place for Pancake.
You, specifically you are the worst bodygaurd, counterpointer I have ever seen in any forums in recent years.
You, specifically you should not have the reason to edit the submission text for a TAS that doesn't belong to you.
And what fresh crap is this then huh?
You should've advised Pancake the existence of User Movies that an area you, specifically you were warned about when you were submitting your own movies.
Keep out of the conversation if you have no presence of giving any decent info.

Edit: After ChutacoackoPlayz submission privileges were revoked by Pancake001 as a request (well more demanded) by me, I have removed most of the irrelevant information left in place by Chuta.
If you want to know what I'm referring to in my post where there's information missing look at revision 19.

Or I can say I'm a good Kirby Super Star hacker, but only if I'm capable to understand Japanese. Since the KSS ROM hacking tools are in Japanese/Mojibake, it's no guarantee that I will use those tools.

I don't know if I can do TASing at the moment. May in summer or something? Soon-ish...

It sounds like the 3 of you expected this to be rejected, which makes me wonder: what is the purpose of submitting the TASes that the three of you have submitted? Is it because you wanted to share an entertaining movie of a game? Because you wanted to get something published on the site? Because you wanted there to be a documented run of the game? Or some other reason besides these three?
If the reason is that you wanted to make an entertaining movie of a game, then it would probably be better to choose a different game than this one, or to come up with ideas for how to make this game be entertaining to viewers.
If it's because you wanted a run published on the site or wanted there to be a documented TAS for a high-quality game, then I have some suggestions I could give you about games you could TAS that would be more likely to result in getting a submission accepted than this game (assuming of course that you spend the necessary amount of time TASing the game before submitting, which should be at least one week).

Thank you for bringing irrelevant information that no one here needs to know or care.
Also congrats on breaking your promise of not doing something that you promised not to do which you wrote in Discord in less than 30 minutes.

No offense, but that's not really how this site works. If the whole purpose of creating this movie was just meant to be an example of how to TAS a game, then this submission should probably be cancelled, since it doesn't meet the criteria of movies that are published on the website, and it belongs in userfiles instead, with a separate thread created for the movie outside of the workbench.

Regardless if you feel you did a great job or not, this site certainly strives for the HIGHEST quality movies. Our judges are extremely versed in optimization and have the final say. I have experienced this myself. I would encourage you to take heed to others on the thread, as they are only mentioning points that will certainly lead to more productive TASing is the future.
If you would like a small TAS to look at that shows incredible work, check out:
http://tasvideos.org/4536S.html
Notice the "re-record" count. This did not come by easily or in a short amount of time. Plus, the artist did a lot of work to cut around 6 seconds of work. For other games, we have users who are fighting to find 1 frame.
I haven't made perfect submissions, but it should look like you have given enough effort to prove the run can't be beaten. Stating that it was done in two hours is not a positive point. One of Tompa's TASes was 10 years in the making. For Sniq, his work has come from multiple years of figuring out better optimizations throughout all Super Metroid TASes. Aside from visual inspections, tools such as Ram Wach and lua scripting were used to help Sniq better the movies he has written.
If it does get accepted...you take the chance of increasing the visibility of your submission and creating a challenge for others to obsolete yours.
I recently discovered that if you haven't reached a level of frustration with TASing any game, then you haven't done your due diligence.

SOYZA: Are you playing a game?
NYMX: I'm not playing a game, I'm TASing.
SOYZA: Oh...so its not a game...Its for real?
