Well, I'm sure we all know about 'Super Demo World' now, the huge SMW hack with all-new levels etc.
What I'm wondering, is... are there any more worthwhile game hacks out there, for other games? Key word being 'worthwhile', of course... I've seen near-hundreds of hacks for the original Super Mario Bros., that only change sprites, or the title screen, and other such useless nonsense.
I'm looking for hacks that have changed things around so much, that they are 'new games', while still retaining the gameplay quality of the original.
So, does anyone here know of any?

I'm still confused, so all Demo World is , is a mod made by people ?
If you want to call it that, yes. And indeed, it is made by people, not cats which many could first assume. (Which is a shame.)

They already have made a game-- It's called Super Demo World...

Here you can find boatloads more of stuff like that, most with screenshots and 99% of them non-crappy.
My recommendations:
Mario Adventure: It's like Demo World TLC, but for SMB3 and by someone different!
SMOddessy: It just kicks that much ass.
So, uh, yeah, go there and try some out. Here are some more links to goodies like this:
Acmlm's Board - ROM Hacking - Also has a SMW Hacking forum. Sometimes you can find some good hacks in there, sometimes not.
Zophar's Domain - Not so big on hacking now, but still has a lot of good stuff. Be wary; there could be a lot of crap there

I've seen some decent Adventures of Lolo hacks, though I'm not sure they're worth it considering how easy the levels are to make. I mean, there are official Lolo games out there with level editors that allow people to share games, so...
