So I recently downloaded RTC with bizhawk included so I could mess around with some games. But I figured out that Mario 3 lags really badly. I have a felling this is because of the NesHawk core because QuickNes works fine. But I can't switch to Quicknes no matter how many times I select it and reboot the core. I haven't been able to find anything about this kind of problem. So I'm posting it here, sorry if this is a repetitive post. I just want to destroy my favorite games with corruptions and figure out how to fix this.

Switching cores for Mario 3 works fine for me. Try downloading the most recent BizHawk version (2.2.2) and see if it works there. If it does, then it must be something the RTC is doing.

Thanks for the feedback but I tried that and it didn't work. When I rebooted the core I got a message saying Bizhawk was unable to use QuickNes. I tested with Zelda 1 & 2, as well as Punchout and those all worked fine. I could switch the cores and on QuickNes they ran fine and on NesHawk they ran badly. I just can't figure out why Mario 3 won't allow me to switch cores.

Huh, not sure what to suggest then, maybe you have a bad rom? That message pops up when a rom is in Quicknes’ blacklist, but I don’t see Mario 3 there

In that case where did you get your rom?

Never mind definitely the rom! But now it's running at about 200 or so fps any ideas on how to slow that.
