Hey guys! This is my first post, but I am a long time fan of this site. Anways, you guys do some amazing things with these games (some of which I can't beat to this day ><). So seeing as you probably love a challenge, I propose you try a superplay of Gumshoe. This game absolutely tortured me as a kid, I was only able to get a few gems and could never beat the damn thing. I realize that a zapper type of movie would normally be pretty boring, with random objects on the screen, randomly being blown up by an invisible gunman. However, i think this game is unique in that your job to keep the character alive through jumping (by shooting him) and destroying enemies/objects that are flying at him. With some fancy timing, I'm sure you could make the movie really great, with last second kills (like shooting a bottle a frame or two before collision) and extremely precise jumping. Hell, for anyone who has played it, just beating the game itself is a serious accomplishment. So what do you guys think? Anyone willing to give it a try? Keep up the great work!

I've played the game. Going for speed wouldn't be the best option, as most of the speed is set in stone. However, this game could be made up for in style. I see a lot of places where someone could pull off some jaw-dropping tricks. While I don't think I could do them, I bet there's others who could.

Thanks for the replies so far :) I agree Rick, while a speedrun of the game isnt really possible (the stages are fixed scrolling stages), I think you could do some serious tricks.

I do know that there is one part of Gumshoe that can be skipped, and it's the desert part in the first level. I have no idea what triggers it, but that actually might speed up things a little. Good thing I just remembered that.

Yes, you're obviously a god on this msg board with all of your 102 posts. Perhaps you could find another topic to troll and build your self esteem with. Anways, maybe Bisqwit or someone can post their opinion whether or not they could do a run of this game?

Don't get me wrong BoMF, I'm not trying to encourage him. I just want reponses that are relevant to the OT.

Haha. Don't worry about it. I'm not trolling anything. I'm hardly a veteran of these boards, and I absolutely welcome you. It's my fault for not being clearer. Often times, when people make a first post on a new message board, they say "hey guys!" or "first post." You included both. I thought it was just funny. I often say, "Hay guyz," as a joke, to make fun of noobs. The idea behind "hay guyz," is a newbie will try to make friends with everybody on a board immediately. I don't dislike you or anything. My post was merely pointing out the "hey guys!" Welcome aboard.

Hey, it's cool. Though I dont post a lot, I do visit quite a few msg boards, the Gamfaqs (or as I like to call it LameFads) FFXI board is pretty harsh, and I took your msg the wrong way. And you were correct, I used 2 very bad cliche' lines. :P
