An experimental emulator for the Nintendo Switch yuzu is an experimental open-source emulator for the Nintendo Switch from the creators of Citra. It is written in C++ with portability in mind, with builds actively maintained for Windows, Linux and macOS. The emulator is currently only useful for homebrew development and research purposes. [...] Can I play Switch games? No – at this time, yuzu does not run any commercial Switch games. yuzu can boot some games, to varying degrees of success, but does not implement any of the necessary GPU features to render 3D graphics.

Right... I'm only posting this cause you're focused on one Switch emulator between the 2 posts and not mentioning the other one, Ryujinx. For the sake of a quick rundown on first boots. yuzu: - The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ (InGame, Will lead to a crash) - Puyo Puyo Tetris (crashes at splash screen) - Cave Story + (crashes/hardlocks after an opening cutscene) Ryujinx: - The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ (InGame, much further than yuzu) - Cave Story + (InGame, much further than yuzu) - Tiny Barbarian DX (InGame) Terms of playability, iirc yuzu currently has Ryujinx beat on Isaac but nothing majorly since Ryujinx can actually get into Cave Story +.

Ah, thanks Spikestuff, I didn't know Ryujinx.

Already they're making tas tools: https://github.com/yuzu-emu/yuzu/pull/6485 you would need a pretty strong computer though to even run any game on yuzu. I like the library of games for switch better than 3ds.

Yuzu now reports that it has TAS capabilities in the latest report. https://yuzu-emu.org/entry/yuzu-progress-report-sep-2021/

WARNING: This is an experimental feature. It will not play back scripts frame perfectly with the current, imperfect syncing method.
It's a start at least! Hopefully we see great improvements in the future.
