Masterjun: Judging.
Masterjun: Hello and welcome to TASVideos marder1991. We are here to assemble the best superplays there are. However, your movie is best described as a casual playthrough which we don't need here. It's bad, it has mistakes, it's slow, and it lacks a clear goal. You are slower than people running this game without tools. You get hit. You have a questionable route. You seem to start with collecting all the dragon coins in each level, but then proceed to not collect the ones you didn't find.
If you just want to share your movies with someone, you can freely do so in the userfiles section. The submission form is only for completed and good movies, not ones like this that have obvious mistakes. Even though this is your first submission, keep in mind that submitting more of these kinds of bad runs will get you banned from submitting.
Cancelling.

Right out of the back of the gate we have 3854 frames of blank input. Issued further by holding Y for a long time, and I don't want to bother figuring out the reality on how many frames should be cut at the end. Held input and mashing is out of the gate, suggesting that time wasn't placed into actually doing a proper start up. I actually didn't load the TAS up to figure out the category. But what I can say with ease that it is slower than this beast: [2307] SNES Super Mario World "all 96 exits" by bahamete, kaizoman666 & Masterjun in 1:14:37.63 Your TAS has very clear problems from just looking at the input and being able to compare to a full "96 exit" TAS. For future use if you're planning on creating something but not submitting. We actually recommend uploading to here instead: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/my#uploadfile

maybe I'm not completely sure what i did wrong or what I'm missing. what can i do better in the future. i thought the point of tas was to make cool looking play through as for times i got hit it was intentional if i did not want to get hit i could have just rewind.

Yes, but your movie was not cool looking in the slightest. As I said, it looked like a casual playthrough. If you're not aiming for speed, then you have to aim for entertainment. This run does not have entertainment. For an excellent example of entertainment in SMW look at this run: Link to video
Warning: Might glitch to credits I will finish this ACE soon as possible (or will I?)

It helps if you think of this site as a leaderboard that only accepts submissions for world records. Unlike speedrun.com where anyone can submit a run and get put on the leaderboard, here you will only get put on the site if you beat the existing #1 record. There is a gray area for playaround runs, but the vast majority of the movies on this site were made to break records. Also, we already have a SMW movie that aims for entertainment, so if you wanted to submit a SMW playaround, your movie would have to surpass the existing movie in entertainment.
