I'm having a hard time using PCEjin / Mednafen on Windows, and for having tried the greatness that is BizHawk, it's really hard to go back to another emulator. From what I understand, the possibility to play MC2 files was removed in BizHawk 1.0.3 (I guess it wasn't working properly), but did anyone made a converter to BK2 files that would make them compatible with BizHawk? I could probably take the MC2 file, manually conform it's structure to BK2, rename it Input Log.txt and zip it with the other necessary files, but if there exist a way to automate this, it would be of great help. Thanks.

If i understand well, you search to reading a .mc2 file on Bizhawk, But emuHawk don't work for it, then you search to convert your .mc2 to .bk2! I think it's not possible, but I'm not sure... You cannot simply copy and paste your inputs of .mc2 file to .bk2!?! What's emulator you played for create this .mc2? Wait a moment, I'm sure than an competent personne have a solution for your problem!

I simply want to play MC2 files (submitted on TASVideos) for the sake of enjoyment, but I'm not able to run Super CD games with neither PCEjin nor Mednafen; only Bizhawk works. I've tried something : editing the MC2 to change the inputs order (BK2's order is different) and copy-paste the inputs in TAStudio but the timing seems off. And no, I'm not interested in watching the result simply on YouTube or from a MP4 file. I want to see the actual piece at work. ;)

Ok, i understand. I'm not an current user to PCEjin but i think find a solution for you in a quickly time... I download PCEjin for find how to play the games, it's shouldn't difficult, i think... Have you an error message when you try to read game? Maybe it's simply an fals BIOS probleme! I don't know! What's the game name? I'll come back quickly for give you an answer!

I don't have problems with regular games, only Super CD-ROM like Akumajou Dracula X - Chi no Rinne (Castlevania : Rondo of Blood) or even regular CD-ROM games like Golden Axe. It doesn't seem to be a BIOS problem, since I tried multiple versions; the same ones I have been using with Bizhawk with no problem whatsoever... Ok, I haven't noticed at first the Import Movies option that converts pretty much anything in a BK2 file, including the MC2 format. But there is a problem with the sync of that particular file; maybe the probably is more broadly common among importing MC2 files in general. At least, now I know the correct way to handle MC2 files in Bizhawk. Each time I open a MC2 converted movie (after I changed the platform from "PCE" to "PCECD" in the Header.txt of the BK2 generated by the importation), I get a "No sync settings found" error, which will obviously always occur; the MC2 format seem to be so barebone that it assume that it will be read by the same emulator that was used to create the file (in that case, PCEjin, with the author mentionning "should sync with Mednafen"). Sorry for the trouble I have caused here. #Facepalm

Indeed, Bizhawk is more accurate than PCEjin, for Mednafen core emulation, it's for it than your input file cause desync and in my opinion, for these reason, you can only read this TAS on PCEjin and not on Bizhawk... I go search to read this submition and will say you how to make this. Don't be sorry, it's normal to help and you don't disturb me, "uses help to save time" lol. Arrrg!!!...Indeed, it's impossible! I have try with PCEjin-SVN209, 194 an more, but impossible to run CD-ROM, I check BIOS and no problem when I play ".PCE" file! When I play .CUE and .ISO, emulator check .bin and returne this error message in debug console: ++ WARN: Init routine called more than once. ++ WARN: could not retrieve file info for `C:\Users\...\chi no rundo (j).bin': No such file or directory ++ WARN: init failed Error opening CD. I have impression than emulator, check and search an ".bin" then some you run a .CUE and .ISO! ( but i'm not an expert!!! ) When I change name .CUE to .PCE, the debuger return to the ROM CRC32 offset and ROM MD5 offset, but don't run! Checksum is good and BIOS run well! I'll send a private message to ADELIKAT... he have the best knowledge for find a solution!

Importing movies is for people about to edit those movies and who are willing to put in the time to fix the sync breakage. Sync breakage should be expected. In fact it can be guaranteed. For casual viewing, give up.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not shocked to see synching issues, and it's not as if I wasn't willing to spend some time to fix these issues; I was only asking if there already was a way to make it work.
