Yeah good points all. After seeing how tough it is to get past all the enemies, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a better one to pick first. I didn't really think much about the bunby heris, it looked cool to kill them late. There doesn't seem to be much lag in this game. But if there is any benefit to early killing then go for it. On the two suzy room I couldn't work it to jump over the one and get up on the ledge, so I took the hit. Then I couldn't make it to the ladder invincible so I took another one, though it might have been just as fast to kill the one by the ladder. I wasn't planning ahead at all. It doesn't seem possible to jump over Sniper Joe. Well good luck with this one, you're gonna need it.

Yeah, the jump there is tricky--it might be subject to half-pixel variation that makes it impossible with the wrong timing. And yes, you can kill the other Suzy in time. ...Which means I'd better see for myself whether it's possible to jump over Sniper Joe. ;) But don't worry about me. I've already time-attacked most of the game, so it shouldn't be too bad now.

Vbm? A very strange format... Which emulator does it base on?

Sorry for troubling. But I think the FAQ should renew... Add some relavant instructions of the special VBA.

Well, I'm on the third horizontal section of CutMan's level, and I'm working on the part where I decided to shoot the Cutting Wheel ahead of time. It's tricky, though, because firing shots early can cause lagging, and how I jump on the conveyor belt can affect how fast I get across the screen. So I'll fiddle with that some more the next time I have free time to work on the movie, and I'll post an update once I beat CutMan, just like in the other threads. Oh, and when I talked about jumping over Sniper Joe, I meant jumping so that you hit his right side and get knocked to the right instead of the left. I know very well that you can't jump all the way over an enemy of that height unless it's moving toward you. Sorry if there was some confusion there.

Wow, I finally finished ElecMan, and with nearly seventy frames saved over my old movie altogether! http://www.geocities.com/ryan_ferneau/Rockman_World_J.zip I'm still a little disappointed that I didn't come up with a new strategy for fighting ElecMan, though. Can anybody else here think of a good way to beat him faster? Remember to consider projectile lag...

So what does everyone think? Is my ElecMan fight good enough? I wanted to do a battle where ElecMan jumped twice and never fired the beam, but that doesn't work very well with the boomerang nature of the Rolling Cutter, so it always hits him too late to cause continous damage. I could experiment a little more with tossing it at different times and positions, but so far I haven't gotten within 10 frames of the current time in a two-jump fight, so I'm thinking of giving up and moving on to IceMan.

I decided to move on to IceMan. http://www.geocities.com/ryan_ferneau/Rockman_World_J.zip Hurry and watch it so you'll know what I've done! And any new strategies for FireMan would be appreciated.

Well, now you can see the first four regular stages. http://www.geocities.com/ryan_ferneau/Rockman_World_J.zip It mostly follows my old path, but I tried to save a little more time where I could.

Okay, I played Dr. Wily's first fortress, but I stopped before fighting the five bosses in a row so everybody can look over the movie so far and think of any refinements to make. http://www.geocities.com/ryan_ferneau/Rockman_World_J.zip
