Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game: For Home Consoles: For TASVideos
STARRING AKUMA
In short, this is a perfect run which makes use of the games odd juggle system and wonky physics engine to create some hard hitting combos and some interesting carries. The main move used in is the air roundhouse tatsumaki, as it can hit up to 3 times (the juggle limit) and can be used to carry an opponent all over the place.

A fairly simple, but very time consuming TAS. The most difficult part was making sure I didn't get wrist cramps. That and dealing with random AI. That through me off a few times. Aside from that, I had a lot of fun making this one, as Akuma is completely broken, as he was in the older titles. One of the funner things about this game, though, is that you have an unlimited number of EX moves once your meter is full (which is broken beyond belief). I don't use it much outside of juggles and finishers, but it opens up a whole new layer of possibilities. I may make a Shin Akuma TAS of this game down the line, as he has unlimited juggle potential.
This run appears to have been played live, either at a slow speed or in real time. Menuing is noticeably slow (and was proven so), and there are a lot of blocked/whiffed attacks. For your future TASes, I highly recommend reading through these pages, following the advice in the submission thread, and especially checking out the rest of the forums. Study some of the other fighting game runs we have on the site, see what they do right, then come back and give this game another shot with frame advance and careful AI manipulation. Best of luck to you should you decide to do that, and I'm sure a number of other users (myself included) hope you do!
As for now, though, I have to reject this submission for suboptimality and poor viewer feedback.
Why isn't it set to the hardest difficulty and why use a character that is obviously broken and needs a code to unlock?
As for the run, you keep whiffing and letting the AI block attacks, and while I didn't watch the whole thing, from jumping around, it doesn't look like you ever do any combos above and beyond the most absolutely basic. It doesn't look like a super play at all. Have a look at the other fighting game TASes on the site as well as the videos of this game already out there.

This can't be true or TASing would be impossible.

Not sure if this was a bad game choice or if the author seemingly didn't use sufficient rerecords. Either way I was not entertained and I have to vote no, sorry. I hope this won't discourage you though in the future.
Not going to lie but this seemed like a regular playthrough you did with savestates rather than an actual TAS.
The way you spammed Gohadoken while the CPU just blocked seemed like you didn't try manipulating their AI. You also kept using it when they stood back up but missed them completely. I'm also confused by the random moves you threw out. You would Hurricane Kick when they weren't close to connect. Plus you barely performed any combos and when you did they weren't too impressive.
As you can see from the videos posted above, a lot of cooler combos can be performed and those were done in real time. Sorry if this sounds too harsh but I hope that this doesn't discourage you. I'm sure a more put together playaround of this game could be interesting....even though the game sucks lol.

Regular Playthrough (Hard Difficulty Man!)
Very Poor and obvious human inputFighter Game adapted to a movie adapted back to a game.
Voting No on the Entertainment, that was a waste of time to watch back.
Also, love the fact this branch went from "Trial Mode" to "Playaround"
It's not an entertaining "Playaround" either.

To include my thoughts in on this run, Lars: It needs significantly more work.
You've got flashes of potential in there with Akuma (is it possible, also, to play as different characters in the story mode?), as some select parts of his moveset could really be used in chaining some smooth-looking combos together. I'd highly recommend committing to making this one a long-term project; posting regular updates in its respective forum thread (or creating one, if one isn't made yet) and seeking out community feedback for constructive advice and criticism.
I sincerely hope to eventually see a more polished project from you. Please don't get discouraged.

I took about a 1 year long break from TASing fighting games, and decided to get back into it on a whim. This run was made in the span of 3 hours, just as a way to warm myself back up. I've been working on a much more, I guess detailed run since posting that I'm putting more time into.
And to answer your question, Story Mode is locked to Guile only and the Street Battle mode doesn't let you fight every opponent. Trial mode let's you fight everyone in the game, and ge's harder from 3* to 8* by the last 2 fights.[/i]
Enter the Matrix is a piece of garbage but I'm gonna finish it if it kills me.

If that's the case, I would recommend cancelling this submission in favor of the new one you're working on, and posting your progress regularly on the forums for people to look at to make sure it's acceptable for the site.

have to say no on entertainment and for the run itself, the guile fight in itself looked very unoptiomized and getting the time over on sawada was just bad all around, imho this game im sure has a possibility just this run was awful to watch, that and I totally didn't know this bad port of a game turned movie turned game even existed on the ps1
Never submit without an opinion, unless nobody answered your replies for a review, your run is clearly not using any of the TASing tools available to the players, besides savestates.
I want all good TAS inside TASvideos, it's my motto.
TAS i'm interested:
Megaman series, specially the RPGs! Where is the mmbn1 all chips TAS we deserve? Where is the Command Mission TAS?
i'm slowly moving away from TASing fighting games for speed, maybe it's time to start finding some entertainment value in TASing.
If you're going to make a playaround, either optimize it or make it entertaining enough that we don't care if it's optimized or not. As it stands, it's neither.
No vote.

Cooljay, at 0:46 I swear it says "shit combo".
Regardless, as others have said it looks very much like (suboptimal) human input and is much longer than previously posted runs with a less broken character (if you consider Jean Claude Van Damme not broken). I mean, Cammy, for instance, was blocking more attacks than she was taking. Besides which, most combos petered out at about 4 hits in most cases with the occasional 5 here and there.
The game might have some potential to be interesting so I would encourage you to look farther into the game and continue TASing, most importantly, with frame advance in the future.
